The 'what fights did you watch today?' thread

What I do is create a folder within the Harddrive. So if it is say a DVD of the epic slugfest Carlos DeLeon vs Johnny Nelson, I make a folder called 'DeLeon vs Nelson' then when ii use DVD decrypter I tell it to save the folder within the 'DeLeon vs Nelson' folder.

For listing what you got, I used a word document but I lost alot of fights when my computer broke so I oculdnt be arsed updating it. I should really update it now. I know GazOC uses a spreadsheet to list his bhouts.

The harddrive plugs into the USB and also has an external power source. The best thing to do is not sace all your precious stuff on it and dont have it backed up else where as my first harddrive broke, but if it dosent click within the first week its safe.

The torrents take a minty to get used to but when you do there worth it. Its hard to explain how to get used to them though.

Can I save what fights anywhere I want...:think

On the new hardrive...? On my existing PC...? I was going to have seperate memory sticks for different weights or fighters...It just gives me lots of options having my fights on different things. It will just be remembering what's on what... A good filing system should sort this...:good

When the DVD is copying on the PC or hardrive does it wipe it...:yep

I would save the DVDs onto the Harddrive but you can choose. I would think one Harddrive would be cheapest option and the handiest. as Pendrives are reasonably small.

No the DVD is not wiped. It takes baout 10-15 mins. And a DVD holds about 2 hours.

On the subject, this might be of interest to some of the older fellas who've still got loads of fights on video.
I bought an adaptor called pinnacle which allows you to transfer video direct to disc or hard drive. It was only about 50 euros when I bought it, probably cheaper now. A lot cheaper than getting it done professionaly though.
You do need a video recorder though, not many still about!

It is but it is worth it.

I got one of those, VCR and that adaptor thing.

Actually I gave some video tapes to my odl German teacher to copy and I aint seen them back, I better get on his case.

 

You surprised me there. I've got all the gear and now my computer is ****ed, hasn't got the bollocks to run it.
Soon as I get it sorted I'll send you a list of my fights. Quite a few that aren't on youtube.
