    I don't care what you guys say. I'm sticking by my guns and that's all there is to it. I just don't see what's so spectacular about two C-level sluggers imitating sock 'em rock 'em robots. I mean, where the hell was the defense at? What's so skillful about taking shots left and right without even making an attempt at moving your freaking head out of the way?:huh
    If that's what you favor then by all means have at it. I prefer the sweet science. It's a beautiful thing. For an example, just look up any video of Money May on youtube.

    It is often overrated but still a good trilogy. The first fight was great, the rematch ok, the third fight pretty good. Not a very close/competitive trilogy however, as Gatti won about 22 to 24 of the 30 rounds, and largely outboxed Ward in the third fight with one hand. 2 out of 3 fights that are good-to-great ain't bad. Vazquez-Marquez and Bowe-Holyfield are rare in that all 3 fights were very good-to-great.

    It was better than Leonard-Duran though. Leonard-Duran 1 was an excellent fight, the rematch interesting but a hell of a letdown in its conclusion, and Leonard-Duran 3 is one of the worst big fights in the history of the sport. It was such a god-awful fight that the crowd started yelling "bull****, bull****" in the middle of it. It made Ali-Frazier 2 look like Bruce Curry-Monroe Brooks.

    The gatti-ward trilogy didnt involve the most skilled boxers there are, rather it showed what TRUE blood and guts warriors that MOST of us pationate about boxing truely love/admire.

    I dont give a **** what anyone says, or thinks they know about boxing, the gatti-ward trilogy was one of the greatest trilogies, in terms of two fighters willing to sacraifice everything they are for their fights, this boxing generation has bared witness to so far.
