As for those who mention Nunn, I would disagree. Nunn was slipping from Barkley onwards. Although an upset (the Toney fight), Nunn was an accident waiting to happen by then, IMO.

Although hardly broken; Benn did get one hell of a wake up call after Watson, refining his style dratistically over time, losing a lot of the beast in his style as an unbeaten fighter.

Frank Tate was looking Fabulous to me until he found out he was second to Nunn.

Espana came back for one fight post Quartey but much like Naseem something was missing.

Ken, I love the karate pose he does.

Come to think about it, it is only in boxing **** like that happens. Obviously football has streakers, but a guy in a vest and undies jumps in a ring pulls a karate pose then gets the crap kicked out of him.

    :rofl:rofl

Also, Alfonso Zamora is the epitome of an 'unbeaten beast'.

What about Johnny Clarke? Was he unbeaten? I know he was very highly rated when your Dad beat him and he never quite got to his past glories after your Dad got him.

    :rofl

I dub over his words when he gets in, like badly dubbed Kung Fu movies.

Karate Guy: Fellas stop that will you. (strikes Karate pose) I have something very important to tell you all...'

Enter the Old Bill who sling him out

He didn't do to bad as it happens. He won the British, Commonwealth and European titles and was on the verge of fighting Rafael Herrera for the World title when a detached retina put paid to his career.
He also come back from the first fight with my dad in which he was stopped to give him an even harder fight second time round.

It's such an important fight as well.

Former stablemates. Zamora, an Olympian, a squat, bullish power-puncher, Destroying everyone. Zarate, the champion, one of the best fighters p4p, tall for the weight, a destructive puncher in his own right. Both undefeated with spot on k.o %'s, Zamora had even stepped in for Zarate ON THE NIGHT and decimated the opponent.

And the bitter war that ensues befits the rivalry. One fight, the loser loses their '0', basically guaranteed to lose by stoppage. How would they approach it?

They go straight at it with power punches!!!! People go on about Hagler-Hearns, this is the first time I thought '**** there are far better fights out there'

The karate intruder only adds to the fevered atmosphere: like Gomez vs Zarate the crowd sound like Romans roaring at the sight of Lions fighting Gladiators. The place erupts at every exchange.

Al, who does your Dad think was the best out of Rose, Harada, Olivares and Jofre (who I seem to remember you saying your Dad admired or at least wanted to fight)?

He rates Olivares the top man unsurprisingly, specially the version he fought. He said nobody hit him like that and he was a master of range. He did say though that Harada might have caused him problems. He was very strong and didn't give a lot of room to get your shots off.

Although he won, some argue that Eubank was never the same again in the ring after the Watson fight.

Do you think? I thought his performance against Malignaggi was his best since Tszyu
