KP also countered the **** out of JT in the rematch, and I do not mean he waited for Jermain to quit punching and than fired back. An unreal number of people call that counter punching, especially Abraham fans, but that is not what counter punching is all about. Counter punching an opponent means when he fires, you fire a "counter punch," and your shot gets there first. Kelly countered the hell out of JT. Ya know why? He did it because he has very good timing, and the **** about slow hands is an internet myth!

 

Pav is slow! Come on now! He countered JT cause JT comes forward and is easy to time. JT does not move around the ring well by choice he likes to plant and throw. Pav wont counter Martinez and you can mark my words on that. He may however throw punches in bunches and land enough to wear him down toward the end. But comparing Martinez and JTs hand speed is one thing(i think they are equal) but Martinez will dance WAY more than JT and give angles which is something JT has no clue about.

 

Taylor has two wins over Hopkins. How many wins does Martinez have over all time great living legends? I'll wait.

Marinez is barely qualifed to mow Taylor's lawn.

Sergio is rapidly usurping Abraham's place as the most over rated fighter on the planet.

 

Taylor also has 2 loses to Pav...and one to Croch and one to the "overrated" Abraham. I think at this moment Martinez is higher rated than JT, hate to break it to ya. But be clear on one thing, i dont know who will win this fight. I wouldnt be the least bit shocked if Pav wins. I dont see him having a chance to counter Martinez and if thats his game plan he's in trouble.

 

I did not say Pavlik was going to counter punch Martinez with any kind of regularity. I merely pointed out that Pavlik has faster hands than Taylor. It's a simple matter of the laws of physics. Fighter one throws a punch. A fraction of a second later fighter two throws a punch. Fighter two's shot lands first. Who has faster hands?

How many fighters said, "Pavlik is slow," AFTER they fought him?

And ya -- Taylor lost some fights AFTER he got sparked by Pavlik. Sergio Martinez will have a simlar post Pavlik career. Kelly Pavlik hits people, and changes their lives forever.

 

I think Martinez will look really good early. He may even be be ahead on points by the time he gets seriously hurt by a Pavlik shot in the mid-late rounds. I think Pavlik finishes him shortly thereafter.

 

HEY Boo, with all due respect, I don't know about Martinez but Abraham would definitely kill your boy... Pavlik is not even close to that league!

 

U could say Martinez outboxes him, but, I don't see that. This is like Tyson against Whitaker. Kelly is gonna spark him.

 

Whoa! Thats going toooo far. Watch the tape my man. He's not faster. Just able to time JT. JT was landing quick combos and beating Pav to the punch alot. I bet KP would agree that he's faster than JT! And I know you like Pav but JT was going to head down that road any way Pav didnt finish him. B-hop couldve finished him but he let him off the hook at the end of both fights.

 

Abraham's best two wins came against guys Pavlik knocked out before Abraham did. So, in essence, you're full of **** as a christmas goose. I'd suggest you spend less time fantasizing, and more time studying actual in-ring accomplishments.

'til Martinez & see how Pav does against a 154 pounder...

 

If he had to fight a Sergio, let's just be happy it's Martinez and not Mora:yep

boo is the biggest aa hater i have ever seen, and that only because aa is a big threat to pavlik, i really think you would love it when they don't have to fight, because then you can allways say pavlik is better. you have to stop living in your bubble world with your lord kelly pavlik who is a b+ fighter at best.
and now to the topic. pavlik will **** martinez very bad. i can't see martinez making the 8th round.
