Not the best defence tbh but will get him some good exposure no doubt ,which at the moment seems hes wanting the most.Que a "lets get on the Ben murphy express thread" by DAN316
Don't let his record deceive you, he is a very decent operator. Although he may be a bit too small for McAllister, I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled off the upset.
Pretty sure I have seen Ben Murphy fight. Will have to check boxrec to see what hows he has fought on.
Not a chance Murphy beats McAllister. I watched him up here against Brawley, and he couldnt lay a glove on him, McAllister is a whole different kettle of fish. Lee will stop him late, or have a runaway points win. Murphy is taylor made for McAllister
so far we have Haye vs Ruiz Groves vs Adamu McAllister vs Murphy reckon there will be one more fight.
Love the tag Alba :hey Hopefully McAllister won't be televised, he bores me to tears..... the card is shaping up alright though with Groves vs Adamu on there.
So your basing your opinion on a 3 round fight :huh McAllister lost 4 rounds to Sam 'I throw 10 punches or less a round' Amoako. Murphy threw over a 1,000 punches (IIRC) against Holborn in a 8 rounder, so he already has the punch output to trouble McAllister. Of course though, McAllister is world class isn't he? atsch
Maybe not world class but certainly a good operator and a lot better than Murphy. Lee is too clever to fall for any straight line puncher like Murphy. I dont particularly rate Brawley that highly, but he boxed the ears off Murphy, and lets be honest Brawley aint a big hitter so why didnt Murphy just walk right through him with his 1000 punch output???
Ok then, I saw his fight, think it was Holborn when they had a draw, and fair enough he had a good punch output, but he is basic as ****, Lee Mcallister is far too clever for those guys. Would be very surprised if he wins, just cant see it. Granted Lee was poor in his last outing also, but was first to admit it, and we know he can box a lot better. Murphy is a good test for lots of guys but not McAllister. But interesting all the same
I don't know how it was a draw against Holborn (home town decision I guess) because it seemed like he won that fight. I think McAllister will win, but just don't rule out Murphy :good
one more tv fight. hopefully Ryan Rhodes in a euro defense. it would make sense for them to get a Manchester fighter on the card. Maybe Craig Watson vs Lenny Daws.
Good fights. This card should be very nice for us Brits. Any idea which other fighters could appear on the bill? Maguire?
