Little bit I guess, but as long as he evades strong punchers the disrespect will go on or even increase.

Of course, Paulie is a top fighter in his division.

It would because he would be the 1st guy to do so. I respect his talents. I just hate it when guys are protected, which is why I am glad he has decided to make the jump.

paulie is a tough guy. so yes.

but i agree that more respect is to be gained should he defeat huge punchers rather than knockout tough chinned ones.

    No Paulie M is terrible.

Khan has a ton of power over him. I'm not a big Khan fan but he should dominate him in this one.

If he KO's Paulie, it means he's better than what I think he is at the moment, but my respect for Khan would truly increase the day he beats a big puncher like Urango, Bailey, or Maidana after taking some hard shots.

I still have doubts as to how hard Khan really hits, so if he could stop Malignaggi then I guess I would have more respect for his power.

I hated Khan early on in his career, made every stupid decision a young talent could make. But since being KTFO he has made the necessary changes to at least discover his full potential wherever that may take him.

I would be highly impressed if he can KO Malignaggi. Paulie might not be the hardest puncher - but he's a good boxer with decent defense and he's not the type to get KO'ed. So it would be very interesting.

Whether Khan KOs Malignaggi or not is not so much in the hands of Khan as much as it is in the hands of Malignaggi. Think Klischko - Johnson. If Malignaggi is happy to lose on points and won't force matters then can Khan really be blamed? Truth is Khan has an advantage in speed, size and power. So Malignaggi doesn't have the tools to win and can't win by boxing the guy.

I have respect for him for taking this bout. It's a big step up from what Khan has been facing. Everyone keeps mentioning how he needs to face a big puncher and take some decent shots. Why?

We all know he got destroyed in one round by Prescott, and he has been knocked down a few times by journeymen. We all know he probably hasn't got the greatest chin.
He will most likely be facing Maidana next IF he gets past Malignaggi, but why do people want him to take some big shots in these bouts? Wouldn't you gain more respect for him if he takes on these big punchers and avoids all there biggest shots, whilst out-boxing them?
