Taking your first lost to a belt holding HOF fighter makes you "over rated"? :huh

    Are you serious? :blood

floyd probably put on a similar display againt even a prime JMM at 135

regardless....floyd made hatton move up too...its because when he beat oscar he reached shot caller status.....and pac has reached that status was well....and he uses it to his advantage....no question about it....

i really dont understand where you are going with the whole "if pac makes a mistake that doesnt make it ok for floyd to" thing.....nobody forced oscar and jmm into these fights and demands....they both wanted the fights, opporunity, and money that came with them.......before i even said a word about oscar/pac....people in this thread were bringing up how floyd made jmm come up in weight.....why? because i said floyd toyed with a man who may have beaten pac twice? they are the same people who say that pac destroyed a man that floyd won a split against(and that was no split...lol).....nobody "exposed" anyone here

    1. there was a reason, Cotto is a much bigger and heavier guy compared to Pac, whos normal weight is 150 in between fights.

    2. Marquez didn't have a choice when Mayweather changed the contract to 147, because it was already the day of the weigh-in when it got changed. 5 months of training and you'll backout of the fight on the day of the weigh-in.. that's gonna be ridiculous specialy for a warrior with mexican pride. and of course.. money.

and that's why i hate Arum for that

he sometimes makes statements without consulting Manny first.

    same with Roach.

i don't even think Floyd would ever ever fight JMM at 135, he wont be able to come down at that weight.

Floyd toyed with JMM at 147, it's not the same JMM Pac fought at 130

    130 and 147 is a huge difference.

Marquez asked to fight Floyd...Floyd was retired sweetheart so he knew that he would have to accept whatever terms available in reality he's just chasing a III fight with Manny.

i was saying..if we took floyd when he fought at 135...and a prime jmm at 135...floyd would have most likely done the same thing...too much speed and skill

i was not suggesting that floyd try to come down to fight at 135 in 2010

Floyd ducked Pac because he fears Pac's speed, and because he thinks he will be able to move-and-box to a comfy UD against Shane. He has made a grave error though I think. He was right that Pac would be a nightmare for him, but he was wrong ducking him for Shane, because Mosley will give him all he can handle as well.

Well he must be, but you must also suffer from the same selective amnesia as Shane has asked Floydie several times too and you are quick to forget those. 1999, you could argue, but 2006, you know abou the bigger fight that happened.

EVERYBODY KNOWS FLOYDIE WAS FORCED INTO THIS FIGHT. But who cares, the fight is on. That's all that matters. :deal

    i completely agree with you

i was just reiterating the facts because floyd fans have been saying that Floyd would toy with Pac too because he toyed with JMM, which gave Pac a lot of problems (i thought JMM won the 2nd fight against Pac)

i'm just saying that fighting Marquez at 147 is very different than Pac fighting Marquez at 130

    ahahahah gimme a break

wasnt it pacs people saying that they needed more time for a fight with floyd? that march was too soon and theyd need to fight the perfect fight to beat him.....

i remember floyd saying hed whoop pacs ass....and agreeing to pacs stipulations....

Floyd at 135 would've did Marquez something terrible...back then he wasn't making multi million dollar paydays and some one would've had to answer for that...Marquez is actually my second favorite fighter and it hurt to see him and Floyd fight but Floyd prove to me why Marquez was P4P #2 and why Manny only had the spot Floyd vacated:deal

Floyd would probably win but not like what he did to Marquez at 147.
