Im thinking Sergio will outbox Kelly, but you cant rule out a KO for the much bigger Pavlik.

Im picking Martinez but i wouldnt put any decent amount of Money on it. im about 60/40 on this.

Martinez is a good fighter who should give Pavlik a lot of trouble but I can't see him winning. Pavlik will wear him down and probably win a clear but hard fought decision. Despite being a 154 pound fighter Martinez is one of the best middleweights in the world when he competes there. Good fight, Pavlik by UD.

Martinez is going to look like the poor dumb ******* who brought a knife to a gun fight.

Or, by way of further analogy, he'll look like a 3 legged chiuaua fighting a prime pit bull.

given everything i've seen from posters in polls, many writers (including frontpage writers here), etc....i wouldnt say he's the clear underdog here.

but that is a good highlight vid bigbone ^^^^

martinez is awesome. he f'd up williams in that fight. i still can't believe he only went down once.

i've always liked and rooted for kelly, but i honestly think i'm going to be rooting for martinez in this fight. it's going to be a tough fight to watch, that's for sure.

The very reason this fight is happening, because Bob Arum looked for someone Pavlik can beat ugly and nasty, a typical Top Rank opponent. We all know how it went down in Bob's office:

"Gimme some small ass fighter for Pavlik!"
"Okay, here's this Argentinan dude who just lost to Paul Williams, he's smaller than Paul Williams and cheaper than Paul Williams"
"Wow, that's great... but wait... he's not a natural middleweight, is he?"
"Don't worry, he's just a light middleweight who was knocked out by Antonio Margarito at welterweight"
"Marga...? Niiiice... nice, Margarito softened this dude for us"
"Wait, there's more: judges like to rob him in close fights and we've got the best judges in town!"
"Well... what the **** are we waiting for? Get this son of a ***** on the phone, because he's"
(both at the same time) "a typical Top Rank opponent" (both laughing)

Only Maravilla is much better than Bob Arum and crew estimates.

Martinez was robbed of victory against Willaims... but I can't see him winning this one. Pavlik will remind you all of the beast he is at middleweight.

    Pavlik KO 7 Martinez.
