Prime julio cesar chavez vs manny pacquiao?

I never met him myself....but I know people who would show up to some of his gym workouts when he was in LA.......and they always had good things to say about him.

......in any regards, that was long before Chavez' fight with DLH.......if you've ever seen some of his made for TV story about his life, he's become a bitter man......mostly due to his drinking and the knowing that the hanger on's you talk about robbed him of alot of his money.

Ultimately the person responsible for that his Chavez himself.......by the time of the DLH fight, he was well on his way in decline both as a fighter and as a person sadly.......

.....but if you dont mind, I think I'll remember Chavez for the great fighter he was, and will believe that when he had his senses to him and was living a clean an sober life.....he was great with the public as well.

I think this is why I employ everyone to actually sit down and watch a fighter before you get involved with conversations involving them. That's what I do, I stay the **** out of conversations involving a fighter I know nothing about. If Danger truly believes that Chavez's right hand was no better than Marco's he simply hasn't seen the guy fight, it's as simple as that.

That right hand was the very hand Chavez used to destroy boxers... he did it to Mayweather, Camacho, Rosario, and Taylor. He totally knew how to use it to take out fighters with superior reach.

honestly, this is a pick-em fight especially at 140. but of course i would lean towards pac. he had proven me wrong so many times that i would probabaly not bet against him. would be fight of the century though.

 

Even straight after watching that vid, Chavez right hand is not the type to trouble Pac. Like I said, both Morales & JMM had long right hands, Chavez has a compact one.

Educate myself? You said it yourself, Jim Lampley made the comparison and he's certainly educated, infact, he's probably seen more boxing than you and me put together. Just because Big George disagrees with him, who out of all the commentators talk the most nonsense anyways doesnt mean Lampley was just talking out of his arse.

Besides, the idea of simply having a right hand to beat Pac is silly anyways. Pac would simply train to avoid to right hand more. What troubled Pac most is fighters fighting backwards, see JMM & Morales on their fight. They fought on the backfoot, both only pressed the action when Pac was hurt, stunned or straight after they land a shot they will press. Soon as Pac gets back to his groove they got back to fighting on their backfoot.

Chavez comes forward all night. Let me tell you why you cant come forward all night against Pac, because he hits too hard, too many, too fast and from akward angles...and when he hits hard, that power is double when a fighter coming forward walks right into it. Chavez will take a hell of a lot of punishment and Pac's footspeed will allow him to minimise the damage all night.

 

MAB had a good right hand just not great, he had a great left hand however, id venture to say better left hand than Chavez. MAB could do everything very well with that left hand, elite jab, elite uppercut, elite lefthooks to the body and head. Sure Chavez had a much better right hand but MAB's left even's things out.

 

MAB timed that shot perfectly, and it still only put Marquez gloves on the canvas.......
Marquez ran into the shot, when you run into a shot yourself, those are the ones that put you in trouble.....but that right hand of MAB with Marquez running into it and all still was'nt enough to put JMM fully on the canvas.

......and where are all the follow up right hands in that fight from MAB......dont just look at one shot....look at the full fight and see that its JMM who's the one landing the consistent right hand throughout the fight.......MAB was primarily just using his left and boxing with the jab.

.....You dont have a case here as far as comparing MAB's right hand to either JMM's or Chavez'.

Chavez had just as good if not better left hand, better right hand, better chin, better stamina, cut the ring off better, punched in combination more consistently, worked the body more consistently, and utilized better head movement in addition to hitting harder with both hands.

Pacquiao vs Barrera is a complete NON FACTOR.

He did practically everything better Dangerousity. You didn't dispute anything else because there's nothing left to dispute. If you have a basis to have your boyfriend winning, fine, but don't say stupid **** like "Chavez was no more two fisted than Barrera was" ...Rectify that ****, right now.

Damm, I never said MAB had as good a right hand as Chavez. lol. where the **** is this **** coming from. I said MAB is a 2 handed fighter, what he lacks for a great right, he makes up for a great left, and his right is pretty good anyways.

That vid was just me winding you up, I found it ironic you were dissing MAB's right hand when its the very same hand that put JMM's ass on the canvas

Again, even with edit I disagree with the left hand being as good. Chavez jab wasnt as good as MAB's, Im also a huge fan of MAB's akward left uppercut, their left hooks are about equal. In terms of everything else, sure Chavez had better stamina, head movement, cut ring off etc but not noticeably more. In his prime I never seen MAB run out of stamina...except against Morales when they were going 100mph, his head movement is very good too and he's never had trouble cutting the ring off.

I retract my statement about MAB being as 2-handed as Chavez though, that was said in rush to defend the accusation of MAB simply being a 1 handed fighter. Thats BS.
