If hes 170 and age 29, it should not take him 8 weeks to get down to 154. Especially a fighter like Cotto who's naturally 154 anyway.

Hes soft around the midsection, but he has 8 weeks to get in shape. After a month of running he will be ripped.

Is not about losing weight only is about getting his body into cardiovascular condition to fight 12 tough rounds. If he has to work too hard to get in shape he wont have anything by the fight, also if you wait too long to start your training he runs the risk of getting hurt in training camp by asking the body to do to much quick. And cotto doesnt have the best reputation when it comes to training so he cant afford to be getting too out of shape.

i wouldn't mind seeing cotto do a couple MMA fights just to see what happens. i bet every guy he fights he knocks out cold. it would be cool to see an actual elite boxer get in there (only after some takedown defense training of course).

i would love for this to happen too so we can put this mma joke to in its place... UFC an MMA is entertaining but it's fans now think they are real professional fighters and a boxer couldnt do **** against them in a real fight with mma rules..
