The weight gave Floyd an advantage, no doubt about that. But the sticking point is Floyd was in a tune up fight. Nobody really cares. Pretty much everyone expected Floyd to cruise in that fight, which he did. While the excess weight was advantageous, don't assume it was the biggest factor in Mayweather's win over JMM. Being heavier doesn't give you an intellectual advantage; it doesn't make you become an elusive defensive fighter.

Floyd's not going to have any physical advantages over Shane. He's fighting a true welterweight. Therefore there shouldn't be any excuses if Floyd wins.

:deal I'm a fan of both(Mosley more) and will give Floyd all the credit in the world if he beats Shane.

the difference is i can bash pac if he ever pulled a ***** move. i swear some joyboys could try to twist things like "floyds weight was a non-factor in the jmm fight" so that floyd would not be labeled as a *****.

regardless...IF YOUR GONNA SIT BACK AND SAY THAT FLOYD DIDN'T WANT THE FIGHT THAN OK...SHANE DIDN'T WANT THE FIGHT EITHER...

ITS SHANES OWN FAULT...HE MADE A CHOICE NOT TO FIGHT FLOYD IN NOV 2006..WHATEVER THE REASON I COULD CARE LESS...HE DID NOT FIGHT HIM AND HE COULD HAVE...HE TURNED DOWN ONE OF THE BIGGEST PAYDAYS OF HIS CAREER CUZ HE WANTED TO TAKE A VACATION AND HE HAD A TOOTHACHE..THAN YOU COME BACK AND SAY "WELL FLOYD DIDN'T WANT THE FIGHT THE FOLLOWING YEAR AFTER OSCAR"...RICKY WAS A BIGGER MONEY FIGHT AND FLOYD WAS LOOKING FOR A BIG MONEY FIGHT AFTER OSCAR....

BY NO MEANS THOUGH DID FLOYD DUCK SHANE NOR WAS HE SCARED..I REMEMBER WATCHING FLOYD 10 YEARS AGO AND HE WAS CALLIN SHANE OUT..

I NOTICE HOW U NEVER FAIL TO MENTION THAT BOTH FIGHTERS DIDN'T MAKE THE FIGHT CUZ OF SHANE...U CONSISTENTLY TALK ABOUT HOW FLOYD DIDN'T MAKE THE FIGHT...

SHANE WAS OBVIOUSLY KICKING HIMSELF IN THE ASS IN SEPTEMBER 2009 AFTER THE JMM FIGHT....

AND HOW IS THAT SHORT NOTICE?? SHANE FOUGHT VARGAS IN JULY 06...THE FIGHT WAS TO BE FOR NOV 2006...SHANE DID NOT WANT THE FIGHT THAT SOON FOR WHATEVER REASON..BUT HE STILL DID NOT WANT IT..WHY SHOULD FLOYD GIVE IN TO MOSLEY WHEN FLOYD THE DRAW???:think..IF THAT WAS SHORT NOTICE THAN HE FOUGHT MIGUEL ON SHORT NOTICE..MIGUEL HAD JUST HAD HIS FIGHT WITH ZAB IN JUNE AND HE MADE THE FIGHT IN NOVEMBER WITH SHANE...

JUST ADMIT IT MAN..HE DIDN'T WANT THAT FIGHT IN NOV 2006..HE SAID IT HIMSELF...:deal:thumbsup

i agree it's not all size. but i just can help but think about it if floyd is not too much bigger than jmm come fight night. if he sweated it out to make the fight more fair. maybe jmm's few punches that have connected would have more of an effect and would make floyd respect jmm more. instead he just toyed with him knowing that jmm would not hurt him.

well, this is the biggest challenge that floyd would be having since to date. of course there is a chance that shane's age coupled with inactivity will caught-up on him but floyd would get credit if he beats shane decisively for the majority.

What the hell does that have to do with anything??? :rofl This is a message board ya know...If you're going to be one sided and skip over points, then people have every right to step in and correct you! Simple as that.

I love how you try to shoot the words " Joyboy" like you're seriously trying to offend somebody!:rofl:lol::rofl What kind of insult is that???

yes you bring up 2006 but in more recent times floyd refers to self as own boss an deccesion maker in one breath an then when asked about a fight with shane he defers question to al haymon an lenoard ellenby that is talking out both sides of mouth an i can clear as day rember interview on espn with brian kenny when asked of a fight with sugar floyd responds by saying the sparring partner the one with 5 losses trying to diccredit his worth even though he is recognized ww champ yet defends himself for baldomier fight good fighter with 7 or 8 losses but champ none the less but on shanes level not even close trend starting talking from both sides of mouth then there is the truth interview with dj rugged man shane not worthy, pw to big ,an infamous legacy dont pay bills well if he is as smart an rich as he claims especialy after fight with real money man an seat filler oscar he should be fine feeding his family for awhile an get to making history with fights that matter an shane is grat start even if floyd if floyd exhausted all options an basicly forced to fight shane or face hurricane like critizism.

It's an odd thing that rematch clause. Mayweather was asked about it in a recent interview and he tried to avoid the question and made out it was Mosley's idea. I doubt Mosley would've had the leverage to demand one. No doubt it was Mayweather who put it in there. Pathetic of him trying to blame Mosley for it.

i think it's oscar's idea. they would milk this match-up if it would be close.

ok...AND I REMEMBER AN INTERVIEW ON FNF IN 2006 WHERE FLOYD SAYS "FIRST I WANNA FIGHT MOSLEY AND BEAT HIS ASS AND THAN I WANNA BEAT HIS BOSS'S ASS"...

WHAT IM SAYING IS NOW THAT FLOYD IS FIGHTING SHANE YA'LL STILL TALKIN ****...THIS NI33A IS FIGHTING HIM AND IT STILL AINT' GOOD ENOUGH..MY POINT IS THAT NO MATTER WHAT HE DOES..FIGHT SHANE, FIGHT MANNY, FIGHT PW....HE WILL STILL BE CALLED A "*****" OR WHATEVER U WANNA CALL IT...MOST OF YA'LL (*******S MAINLY) JUST HATE TO HATE...NO FACTS BEHIND UR ****...FLOYD WANTED THIS FIGHT FOR YEARS...NOT FLOYD'S FAULT MOSLEY TURNED HIS BACK AND DIDN'T GIVE IT TO EM..NOW THE FIGHT IS BEING MADE BUT ITS THE SAME ****..FLOYD IS SCARED OF SHANE..HOW IS HE SCARED WHEN HE FIGHTING HIM AT 147?

AS I RECALL MANNY WANTED NO PARTS OF SHANE BELOW 143..HMMM...MANNY IS NOT A ***** FOR NOT FIGHTING SHANE BUT FLOYD IS A ***** EVEN THOUGH HE IS FIGHTING HIM?? DONT ADD UP

Maybe, but Mosley is saying it was Floyd's idea. I'm inclined to believe Mosley
