He is Kevin Maree's cousin their mothers are sisters from Mayo and both their fathers are from Dublin but moved to Burnley for work and then back to Lucan for a few year but their grandparents live on Sheriffer and he fought for Dublin Docklands BC. It's not Mahers until next week! Farrell has been on the phone to me again to see if I could line up his brothers debut fight in Ireland on the same night as an Irish title fight against Wilton. Both Farrell's were top class amateurs over here.
