from what ive seen of him, he doesnt look like anything special, nor does he look like he could be. I dont think he has half the skill that most have. i think bradley would beat him and I think Pac would beat him within 3 rounds. One thing he does have going for him is his toughness though!

I dont rate him, what about you? :think

On this board, in general, he's not that overrated. But there are a few people that overrate him alot just because they like to say he was a possible opponent for Pac in the past or could be in the future, and they jump in the bandwagon just to say he would beat Pac but aren't really fans of him.

I think he's unproven still, but he seems like a warrior and I've become a fan.

Let him make his way through 135 and 140 before people start talking about big fights with elite boxers. I'm sick of people treating one title in a division like its an automatic jump to the big time. Let these guys unify their divisions or at least face another champ or two and pay their dues before they start calling out the big names.

He showed against De Marco that he has skills to go with the power punching record...problem is he showing all this against fringe world class opponents. Once he steps in with a prime world class fighter then we can make calls on him.

I felt he was just a crude banger but he did show he can box and have heard he was a very talent refined boxer in his younger days.

He has a style different than what most are used to. His boxing is good but he decides to sacrifice some technique so he can land his shots.

Right now, he's THE MAN at LW.

Agreed he is the man at LW but to be fair...what's there at LW right now? JMM is probably stuck at 140, Katsidis vs Valero would be superb but I favor Valero and after that, yer reaching with guys like Vincente Escobedo, Juan Diaz (if he's a 135-er still), Aley Formega and Joan Guzman if Guzman isn't shot.

I can't wait to see what Valero does at JWW. That to me will be a true test of his abilities.
