Well his head is screwed on in the Siberian Gulag that is the Stirk House Hotel - I've been up twice and both times its been snowing. There isnt a pub, shop, club or house for mile and the hotel bar doesnt even sell peanuts so there isnt much chance of you not making weight!

 

Sounds a bit like Sligo of a Friday night to be honest

 

Now its a lovely picturesque stop and the hotel is lovely - just isolated and nowt to do but train. The chefs know the story with the fighters and serve up perfectly balanced meals.

 

Perfectly balanced for me is a can of lager in one hand and a kebab in the other! Joking aside, though, I think Kenny is a real prospect and I am kind of pissed off he's not done more yet. No one is more pissed off than him though I imagine!

 

He'll have to wait in the queue because if Willie Thompson can get an eight-rounder then he's next.

I'll tell ya what - why dont O'Brien and Thompson final an eight round eliminator for the winner gets a shot at Haughian! Sound fair!

I did add Thompson to the list of fighters that could potentially for into an Irish Prizefighter for a welterweight version!
