I don't think he is but I would like to hope so. If Brandon Rios does fight him I would like to see my boy win. :bbb:bbb :yep
valero is a step above a prospect at this point. if you keep that in mind, then you see he is very good. he needs a good trainer. Freddie Roach would turn him into the second coming. Of course I think Pac would beat him at this time. Pac is the best fighter in the world. Valero is still developing.
i don't think this guy took a dive. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqN-bvRymrk&feature=related[/ame]
ya know what tho, i wanna see how he fares against top opposition, then maybe ill change my mind about him :think
haven't seen the demarco fight. nothing before that impressed me but maybe that will change my mind. still, he looked so ****ing amateurish prior to his latest outing it must have been spectacular for him to be thought of so highly
I think he is overrated but he certainly has potential. If he was a bit more wary when throwing punches he would improve immensely. He is a bit too reckless and a great counter puncher would school him all night. I think he could be great though. He does have the raw materials to mix it with the elite. He just needs a good trainer to give him a little more discipline.
I saw him fight DeMarco and he did look like the man to beat at 135lbs. Valero was not only dominating but he showed he has technique, power, hand speed, heart, stamina, and ring generalship. DeMarco was not a push over. He is a good prospect and was undefeated before the night he met Valero in the ring. What do I make of Valero? He is not ready for the elite but he is definetely someone to look out for. I have become a big fan of his and I can't wait to see him fight again!
Don't think he's ready for either Bradley or Pac yet. But it neither means he's ducking nor does it mean he won't ever be a great fighter. You have to realize sometimes toughness overwhelms skill. A good example is Kirkland vs. Julio. While Valero isn't the most polished fighter out there, he isn't inept either. Can't we just give him a chance and see how he does against top level competition before we start giving out a final grade? You don't have to like him but he is an action fighter and I think the sport of Boxing can always benefit from fighters like him. The more the merrier.
