People are also right about the fact that Toney was approached by Vitali (not Wlad) in the past and demanded more money each time.

This would have been a good fight about six years ago. But not anymore.

Why is Povetkin trying to face Vitali all of a sudden? He was supposed to face Wladimir. Until Povetkin came along, I had never seen a guy duck his mandatory title shot for years.

Either Atlas must be thinking a Vitali fight is less risky these days or Povetkin thinks Vitali is an easier fight than Wlad.

Vitali is getting old now, but I think he still has enough to beat the **** out of Povetkin.

 

I'd go further and say Vitali is more dangerous than Wlad, though most would disagree.

Yes, Toney has had a couple of chances to fight the brothers, and refused. Now noone cares to see a brother waste their time on Toney, as he's now an aging, overweight hasbeen with zero power with which to hurt someone, much less, someone with Vitali's chin.

At this point, Povetkin vs Vitali would sell, ten to one, better than Toney vs. Vitali. Vitali knows this. Toney is about 41, fat as hell, very small, and on the downslide. Vitali is in impeccable shape, still wins every fight by either TKO or landslide decision, and is still veiwed as the best in the division. Toney is years past his best.........

Toney is merely trying to get another big money fight, while he can. He deserves nothing.

Bring on Povetkin. That is not as good a fight for Vitali as Haye or Valuev, but Povetkin is a decent and interesting fight. I hope it happens.:thumbsup

What has James Toney done at heavyweight compared to Povetkin?, Povetkin is the IBF #1 contender for winning a tournament NO ONE picked him to win. His win over Chambers all alone, not to count the MANY other good wins, is better than EVERYTHING Toney has done at heavyweight. Hell his win over Friday Ahukaba or whatever is better than everything Toney has done at heavyweight, smoke that for a reality check.

If anything it has been BOTH Klitschkos trying to get the fat fraud at heavyweight and he has ducked them every time they officially called him with the most pathetic excuses ever. Remember when his obese ass was suspended for packing roids to beat Ruiz?, Vitali's fight with Rahman was also canceled and Rahman had to fight Barrett, Vitali called out Toney when he was in a situation no professional boxer wishes to be in, suspended, no title and a joke to the media whenever his name is brought up. Yet he turns them down because he believes he deserves more money than the career high payday he was offered. Not to forget the many other duck jobs he has done every time they called his worthless ass up.

Toney is a great fighter at lower weights, at heavy he ranks right next to Guinn.

 

Ukranian ***gots?, I see the rage of the ghetto finally rising from the garbage cans. These Ukranian "***gots" are carrying the heavyweight division and giving it a proper image, an image it's known to have. Giving these belts to garbage like Toney and other overweight losers is NOT a solution, it's the END of the heavyweight division and an eternal end. Thanks to the likes of both Klitschkos, Haye, Povetkin and other few contributors for giving some oxygen to the division. If your post is serious then you're a piece of garbage that doesn't care about boxing, seeing guys holding a title with a skin color that matches yours and an eating disorder does NOT add inches to your dick.
