Pac will bust Chavez to a bloody pulp leading to a stoppage at 140 up. It could be a whole different story at the lower weights.

I ran into him at the Puente Hills Mall in Industry, CA he was with his girlfriend of the time. About 50 people were lined up asking for autographs and he acknowledged everybody. He had no entourage or bodyguard with him. He was very polite to everyone even the people that trash talked him. He would smile regardless... he kills with kindness. Afterwards, when i was driving home he drove next to me in his Lamborghini on Gale Ave and waved at me ... kind of surprised he remembered me.

Another time I ran into him was at the Red Onion in West Covina I asked him who he was going to fight and he said he was in talks with Azumah Nelson. He was with about 20 friends and every girl wanted him. I had a few drinks with his friends and they basically told me that Oscar if he was not in the Gym when he was in high school he was studying and that he did not drink.

Another time I ran into Oscar was at a club in Alhambra next to a golf course ,this time they finally got him to drink and he was shitfaced as it was the first time he got drunk. He went to sit at a booth and he received a hummer (not the Car) from a nice looking lady. I ran into him at the same club about four other times, He was never rude to anybody.

At the press conference I tried talking to Chavez as was promised to us by Arum and the jerks with Chavez kept all of us away. Oscar, on the other hand saw this and called us over and signed some gloves I brought I did not have a camera with me but Oscar's team took a picture with me and my father and mailed it to my father autographed. Real class, and I did not even like the guy until the Vargas fight.

My father is friends with Mike Hernandez who owns Camino Real Chevrolet in East LA. He was Oscar's business advisor for a while and I ran into him at a party Mike hosted. I thanked him for the picture he sent my father. Oscar told me that his fans are important to him and that it was the least he could do.

I dont know what you do for a living or even how old you are......but its pretty clear to me that at the very least you have family who associate themselves with DLH, and you at the very least are on terms with at least recognizing eachother and being able to say hello, or whats up........

......no disrespect to you my friend, as I said, I dont know you.......

......and btw, I wont doubt for a second that late in Chavez' career he could behave like a jerk.........

.......but I also would say because of your association with DLH, anything you could elaborate about the extent of Chavez' comportment should be taken with a grain of salt......its no secret with anybody that has followed boxing long enough that friction exist between DLH and Chavez.....the same type of friction that exists with MAB and Morales.

I could guarantee you that 90% of the people that actually knows and has associated with DLH, would'nt like Chavez on a personal level.

I wonder where the stories coming out of East
Los Angeles that DLH was a true world class jerk originated.
The way you tell it, DLH is friendly and ammicable with everyone, and yet I've heard and read stories that depicted people from DLH's own Highschool depicting him as a jerk......an egomaniac so to speak.

Only God knows what the real truth is.

All I can say is what I have experienced, one thing to note my friend Efrain was in the Chavez entourage before he fought at 140, his Chavez stories would really **** you off. I am not here to gossip if I was I would tell you things that would make you cry. Either way what Chavez does in his privacy does not take away from what he did in the ring.

    Good man!:good

......Nothing you could tell me could make me cry.....believe me, I've been around long enough and see alot of unbelievable **** happen.....

.......but you should keep those stories to yourself, because at the end of the day, there is'nt anyway for you or any of us to verify that any story you would tell was the truth.

.....but you're absolutely right.....Chavez' private and Personal life outside the ring and his resume inside the ring are two seperate things. We absolutely agree on that my friend!:good

I'm a HUGE JCC fan - JCC the boxer. I've heard some horrible things about how he conducted himself in private.

So what? A lot of boxers are very rough individuals. In many cases, that's why they became boxers in the first place, they like to punch people in the face and they do it at any opportunity lol... They're violent people, and they often associate with violent people. And gangsters.

You know i think you should just speak for yourself. Jim Lampley is not some authority or guru on boxing. I remember when Lampley first came on HBO and he didnt know jack ****:-(. Im sure some of the long time fans here on Esb would agree with me, he was a newbie boxing guy back then on their only cause of his previous experience in broadcasting. Im sure Divac and i know i have watched more Chavez fights than Lampley has and more boxing:yep
Lampley has come along way and i do respect his opinion now, but dont think just cause a guy is on TV talking about boxing that he knows everything.
Also by the way yey Foreman use to say alot of crazy **** sometimes, but when it came to the finer points of the game and what is going on inside those ropes, Foreman had a feel for what was going on inside those ropes, alot more than Merchant,Lampley,Kellerman and many other announcers.

You know i 2nd what RIcardo is saying, i also have met Oscar on numerous occasions. Ok i do remember him way before he was famous he use to occasionly train at the same gym i went too(Hollenback) although his home gym was the Ressurection, but to be honest with you he dont know me,but he was always cool and friendly. After he became famous i met him at a nightclub in Montebello (Primecut) he was super cool talk to me and my friend for quite a while his uncle happened to be friends with my buddys dad this was a little after he won the gold medal. I was also present at the Olympic auditorium press conference and Chavez was a jerk to his fans ignoring them after the press conference, and this was after they had been chanting Chavez,Chavez, the whole time and booing Oscar, but do you know how Oscar handled it? He signed autographs for a very long time for all the hypocrites that booed him and then wanted his autograph.
Also met him at the WBHOF banquet on 2 occasions, every time he was mobbed and yet he stood there signing everyones autograph and making small talk with everyone. Ive seen Chavez on 3 occasions 1 at his fight with Frankie Mitchell (obviously couldnt talk to fans that time) once at a sparring session at HOllywood Park (he didnt sign one autograph), And at he Olympic when he acted like a jerk. The first 2 times are excusable you cant expect him to accomadate everybody, especially at fight night (so forgot that one) but at the Olympic Chavez made himself look bad by the way he thumbed his nose at all his fans and ran too his limo, in what was a public press conference in which both were expected to sign autographs. Oscar is the only one who stuck around,.
