I don't think Adamek is a true throw back fighter, but I do think he's pretty tough, so you can say he has some throw back qualities in him. Adamek lacks the punch, size and defense to go far in the modern heavyweight division. He would be much better off at 210-215 than 222. Speed, stamina, and skills is his ticket. He needs to keep his stamina. I don't think Adamek beats the Klitschkos. He might beat Haye or Chambers. I think Helenius and Pulev are better and younger prospects at heavyweight, but the boxing media these days is rather limited, so fans don't know who they are.
I think that Vitali Klitchsko is a throwback fighter. He has the upright style, the low guard, he is always in excellent physical condition etc. Vitali is very similar to Jess Willard. I think he is the best example of a throwback fighter that i can think of.
He's naturally in the 200-205 range. Putting on 15-20lbs of muscle when you're a 6'2 man in your early 30's is nothing. Especially when you're a professional athlete and all you have to do is train. Give me a break. This. He's fat and overweight with stamina issues his entire career then starts working with Conte and is now in phenomenal shape.........
Yeah, I often had the thought Vitali is Willard reincarnated. I like Adamek. He's tough, decent skills and gives his best. But he makes a big mistake now. Bulking up does him no good but others have already commented on this. I don't think Adamek can beat Wlad. I think he has a chance against Vitali if he loses some weight and improves his defence a bit and Vitali continues to slip. I definitly can see him beat Haye. Haye would try to bomb him out and that won't do him any good. Adamek Chambers is a toss up but would be a great fight. I hope he get's past Arreola and Chambers won't be too damaged from Wlad, so tha we can see this fight.
