They were brilliant .... Orford at his best , Brett Stewart the best FB in the nrl that season ... and the forwards were immense Kite , King , Watmough , Stewart , Hall ... the list goes on ... and wolfman on the wing had a brilliant season ... and last but never least menzies signed off in vintage style...

Think manly could have a tough year this season ... losing Warea hargreaves , Hall , Orford are huge losses .....

I think Manly have lost the right players :yep Hargreaves was never a full time 1st grader cause he struggled to push out the best second rowers in the comp. I think he is going to become a really good player though. Manly have bought Matt Scott who will replace Hall quite well. Manlys forwards are still among the best in the comp.

The Halves are the suspect positions but I am immensely impressed by Foran who is probably one of the best young tacklers i have seen in a long time, he has pace a decent kicking game and is really strong. Apparently he is p4p one of the strongest in the NRL. Jamie Lyons says he wants to play 5/8 which is great and Hodkinson I have seen play a few times here in Qld Cup has great potential.

Im getting excited about the footy season cant you tell :nut:happy:nut

You a big footy fan? Your location says UK, you a big follower of their Super League comp?

Yeah im based in old blighty but follow both the NRL and Superleague its the game of the gods i love it :good ... always loved the NRL its just a notch above our boys and ****ing State of Origin is mental !! ...what a game that is ... i book days off to watch it its that good .... one day i will get over and experience it first hand .

Im a chooks fan for my troubles in the NRL and gotta say another hard season ahead ... lost alot of players again but for me Shackleton is the biggest loss .. he had huge potential and the Eels have a good signing there ... i just hope the likes of Jones and Cherrington progress and come through this term ... and hopefully the enigma which iis Carney can mature into a player not a thug but i have my doubts ....

Well, the 2 hardest ones are out of the way, the rest are favorites.

West Brom were winning 1-0, but Reading have just equalized. Still very early in the game though. The other 2 games kick off later on.

Tottenham are winning 2-0 at half time, so they look home and hosed.
Villa are also winning 1-0 at HT, all thats pretty much left is the West Brom/Reading game which is still locked at 1-1 with the 2nd game just about to begin.

The West Brom/Reading game is the one that has me edgy. 20 to go for them to hold on.

Tottenham are now 3-0 up, and although Villa are only winning 1-0, their solid enough in defence to handle Palace.

    :-( Late equalizer by Reading.

Palace have also scored. Oh well, at the end of the day it's only $10. Still feels like $240 though.
