That really hurts my feelings man. He's absolutely class to watch, i realised that the first time i laid eyes on him.
I know you are probably joking, but just to be safe, please please don't put any tartan or scottish music on it. This cliche of Scottish sportsman on the international stage being lumbered with a tartan backdrop or a scottish tune to the highlight reel drives me crazy. Kepp it as it is, slick, black, and so on...:good
How about an excerpt of the White Heather Club ,and a bit of "There was a Soldier" etc, Maybe Moira Anderson, giving it large? No wonder Sweaties drink so much
I joke of course, although i do admit the thought crossed my mind, but i said; it's not about the nationality, its about the ability and ability has no nationality too cheesy???
Looks like good stuff! I am not sure if it is my computer, but when I click on a link my initial page is blank (black) and I have to scroll to the right to read the bio...or other info and then it is single file with 1-3 words per sentance. I guess if that is what happens it could stand to be reformatted? other than that good work...+ a phot gallery would be a nice addition! peace
One thing that would be hard to do it, but definitly worth it is perhaps have the newspaper reports of his bouts.
i tested it on firefox and chrome, and i'm guessing others here don't get that, plus buddies of mine..... so that might be a problem your end?? what browser etc etc you using? as far as an images section, i thought of it, but there are so many images around site i left it off, but will prob put one together in next week feel kinda empty now site is finished again, i thought of this a while back, but it quickly left my mind when i thought of how tough it might be but i will give it my best shot to try and find some, as like i said above, i feel empty now its done off to watch chel-inter now, so anymore things you'd like to see done leave em here.....
ok, there is a compatibility problem with IE, but is easy enough to fix i think i will do it tomorrow, so the site should be good to go for IE users by tomorrow night
Good stuff Scotland deserves more voice on the Boxing Historical front. Make sure you include reference to other Scots greats Benny & Buchanan are tops for achievements but Head to Head that would be Benny Lynch and Bert Gilroy. Other greats like Tommy Milligan, Tancy Lee, Jim Brady and Elky Clark are right next. The best of that bunch is probably Alex Lafferty and even the Black Scot Heavyweight Manuel Abrew deserves a mention and Scotland's two best heavyweights Ken Shaw and Dan McGoldrick, then theres Jackie Paterson and Peter Keenan, Chic Calderwood, Cowboy McCormack, Walter McGowan and Jake Kilrain the welterweight, little Johnny McGrory, Jim Watt and some of the modern ones. Scotland has a good few top men who were among the best in the world at their perspective times.
ok that is basically fixed, although the background of the menu is now bigger and out of shape compared to the menu itself, but i will fix that later main thing being you can now view it, and also that you should use either Chrome or Firefox coz they are better..... Scotland has had some great boxers, but i did not want to turn the site into a Scottish thing, it was meant to be all about Ken however i may create a page dedicated to Scottish boxer in the future.....
the bloke was an artist and is much under-appreciated by the majority of his countrymen.he had the best left jab i have ever seen.forget all the old timers, if you want to see a boxer throw multiple jabs, ken is the man. i met him in a bar before the benn-eubank fight at old trafford.he was great, and is a legend
