From the news of the fight:

    Klitschko-Valuev a no go

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will not be facing 7-foot former WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev in his next fight. “Valuev is dead,” Klitschko-Manager Bernd Bönte told BILD regarding the negotiations between K2 and DKP. “Promoter Don King is crazy. He makes demands for Valuev that are simply not acceptable.” Klitschko could face WBC #2 ranked Odlanier Solis instead.

And yet again a Klit talks a big fight and then goes straight for a bum when negotiations fall through. As for making outrageous demands, that exact same sentiment has been levelled at both Wlad and Vitali during the Haye playoff. Fight Povetkin for God's sake!

    Anyway, source please.

:huh ok he goes strait for a bum like who?.. Solis he already ko'd Haye and if hes a bum what is haye? And how many fighters on close to a hundred fights combined have said they have had problems with negotiations with either Klitschko, Haye? Didnt haye have problems with negotiations of every fight at heavy besides Valuev even then he bitched about his accomodations before the fight, Hell he was supposed to fight Johnson backed out after it was agreed to fought Barrett who said how unproffesional Haye was and the treatment of his management backed out a little over a week before a scheduled fight with a bogus injury agreed to a fight wit Vitaly had a signed contract in front of him then backed out of that fight to fight a lesser challenge? Sounds more like Haye is the one who is difficult to negotiate with.

I'd much rather see Vitali fight Solis anyways. Solis has a chance of creating a legacy down the line. A win over him would do far more for Klitschko's resume than a win over Valuev.

Yes, that´s ridiculous, but according to BILD, it´s only Don King who wants so much money.

The negoations with Sauerland and Valuev were succesfull and at the end the Klitschko´s were set to pay 3 millions. Thats a huge amount of money for someone like Valuev, so they had their chances.

So 2 million is not enough for Vailev? He's done, and won't get a WBA title shot. No sane promoter would risk to finance Haye vs Valuev II. The first fight was embarrassingly bad.

Solis right now seems to have more left than Valuev does, but is less known among boxing fans.

Hey chef I got a question, if DKP wanted 4 mil for Valuev and you all pulled out won't you face the same prob (along with a pissed DK) when Vitali goes against Solis, who's co promoted by DKP?

i dont think Solis win over Haye is that relevent now. Haye was 20 at the time and Solis has been at world level as an amateur for 5,6 years by that point. he was also not knocked out, stopped on his feet.

Haye looks much better now and Solis has barley improved.

Haye vs Valuev 1 got over a million PPV buys in the UK, and the decision was disputed. the fight would sell again in europe.

Don King is an idiot. Valuev has said many times that he would fight either Klitschko, he'll probably beat up a few bums and get given another title shot once Vitali retires.

Solis is not a bad replacement, but he needs to lose 50lbs, he is a former cruiser and weighed 270 for his last fight, just unacceptable. I still think Vitali wins when Solis' corner pulls him put late. Much like Vitali-Arreola. Anyone see a similarity?

I've got no desire to ever see Valuev again, so King's ridiculous demands are fine by me.

Maybe a fight of this magnitude would tempt Solis to get in reasonable shape for once. He could be a real force if he lost about 40lbs of blubber.
