Arreola-Adamek: How Does The Brit Forum See This Humdinger Going?

Not much talk in the Brit forum about this fight so I thought I'd ask how everyone sees it playing out. I think this is a really intriguing fight and I also think you have to give credit to both fighters for taking this fight at this point in time.

Joking aside, I think Adamek takes it on points.

 

Well, there are always plenty of threads on worldwide boxing on here. I would sooner ask the opinion of the posters on the Brit forum than the tits on the general, TBH:good.

 

Fancy Adamek to win on points, or a possible late stoppage. But can Adamek take Arreola's power at the higher weight? A very interesting fight.

 

I fancy Adamek to take this one on points, though it'll be interesting to see what happens if Arreola catches him flush.

 

Arreola for me. Arreola is a real HW and very powerful as well. Adamek hasn't looked too powerful at HW so far either. I don't see Adamek ever KOing big Chris outright; that said, if Arreola comes in out of shape, he's not going to do himself any favours with regards to stamina and a late Adamek TKO could be on the cards.

I think the safe money is on an Adamek UD, but I think Arreola will turn up for this fight and might just bully Adamek out of the fight:think. I think this will be a brilliant fight, though, as both fighters will bring it. Who said HW boxing is dead?:happy

 

Adamek is hittable, but Arreola is a blob.

Arreola landing the bigger shots but not that amny methinks. Adamek on points. I hope so anyway, he's a throwback.

I'm yet to be convinced by Adamek as a heavyweight to be honest. I can see him walking into some heavy shots and losing, via KO, in the middle rounds.

For me the problem here is that Arreola might be the hardest puncher that Ademek has faced and Ademek is defininitly not the hardest that Arreola has found himself against. That, in my opinion, will be the crucial difference.

 

I actually did explain my rationale for thinking so; something you've evidently edited out to make your diluted, pedantic point:deal. I am picking Arreola on a whim- I just think he'll turn up.

The main reason I'm going for an Adamek win, if he's not going to turn up in shape for the biggest fight of his life in Vitali then I can't see him turning up in shape here.

Expecting Adamek to hit him with too many shots, not particularly powerful but the accumulation damage along with low stamina for Arreola I reckon sees a late Adamek stoppage.

 

The smart money is definitely on Adamek to win on points.

Vitali gave him a real hiding and he was still stood there, albeit beaten up before his corner did the right thing.

I agree with safc though - if he's not gonna motivate himself to train properly for a world title fight, he most likely isn't going to bother here either.

Adamek on points - but it will be an intriguing affair with Arreola landing a few and shaking the Pole up later on.

How low do you reckon Arreola can get..... I'd say 210 :think

 

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Arreola will win this. Adamek will do well early but Arreola will overpower and beat him up.
