Official Pavlik VS. Martinez Poll--April 17th

I don't know the answer to that but at 160 I think he has a good advantage despite martinez experience. I'm not saying Martinez does not have a chance against Pavlik but he is 8 years senior, a lot of miles on the clock, 4 inches shorter, making a debut at 160 which is not his natural weight and coming off a controversial decision which was an extremely physically demanding war. I think if you do the maths its fair to say this is not a great matchup. And in terms of being low reward / high risk I beg to differ as Martinez was the man at 154 for a long time and will be presented by the PR team as a great champ fighting another great champ.

And my point here is that Pavlik should be clearing out the division. I think when the real contenders appear at 160 they will move him up to 168 and come out with the usual "no name division" bs. The way I see it is KP is probably, the best 160 boxer, but if we could at least see some attempt to clear out the division it would make him a great middleweight. Aim for greatness I say, milk the cash cow is what Top Rank and every other promoter out their says alternatively. That's boxing I guess.

 

Let's just hope Pavlik doesn't pull out again.

 

Can anyone post the Taylor-Pavlik fights on youtube again? They used to be up but were taken down and I don't want to get Taylor's career set when all I want are his fights with Pavlik.
