It pisses me off how you and i and maybe others consistently feel the need to have to proclaim our unbias whenever we have a remotely negative thing to say about either Mayweather or Pacquiao.

    We aren't biased here, end.

Trust me, Floyd isn't liked too much by black fans either.

Pretty desperate when you try to claim Floyd isn't ducking serious challenges by trying to denigrate Duran, Leonard, Armstrong and Robinson...

Floyd is a fine fighter. He's also an idiot with an overblown sense of self. You can't moan about him being unpopular when he spouts nonsense like this. He ought to be ashamed. Spolied Multi-millionaire compares himself with true heroes of history - come on, he deserves all the criticism he gets.

I don't think today is the greatest era by any means. But its better and the WW division is pretty hot with Mayweather, Mosley and PAcquaio fighting for supremacy

Where do you have inferior fighters like Delahoya, Trinidad, Chavez, Ortiz, Arguello? ;) I dont buy the 'Floyd's the greatest of all times' as you seem to think I do, he makes my top20 though, maybe top10.

You talk about black people as if its 1 person and there cant be a difference in opinion  I know loads of blk fans of Floyd, mainly casual 1s, some boxers who clearl try to imitate him, my gf found the Marquez fight boring as watching paint dry though.

Either way avoiding high risk, low reward fights is what the business is about, always has, all the greats have avoided high risk, low reward fights. And yes that includes Mayweather, Duran, Leonard, Armstrong and Robinson...

Lets look at the timeline of the Margarito situation:

Mayweather moves to WW to fight undisputed champ Judah who wants more money, Margarito calls Mayweather out who fights a tune up in Mitchell

Mayweather offered Margarito a career high payday after Judah lost, Margarito turned it down, Mayweather trys to fight Hatton, Hatton turns it down, he goes back and signs to fight Judah

Mayweather is offered 8million to fight Margarito under the provision he signs a contract with Bob Arum that would provide 14million for his next 2 fights. As we know in his next 2 fights Mayweather would make over 50million against DLH and Hatton

Margarito loses to Williams, beats Cintron and Cotto and loses again to Mosley

Who in their right mind would sign that type of contract with Arum? Why do people acusing Floyd of ducking Arum fighters ignore the 1 common factor in the fights not being made, ie Bob Arum. Arum is clearly smarter at manipulating the boxing media, it doesn't change the facts of the case

Fair enough. He doesn't deserve concessions for circumstances though.

I love James Toney, and he is cocky and black. It's not Floyd's colour or confidence, it's his lies and his cherrypicking that irritates most.

Floyds a monumental moron with the **** he spews. Suprisingly for such a spend all dummy, hes made some intelligent career decisions that have made him a lot of money. Theres not too many fighters with the style he has, that have been such big earners. Hes no icon, just another example of how you shouldnt carry yourself.

I'd have Toney higher in my alltime list personally, despite his inconsistent patches.
