Lee has just spoke to me and asked if i would pass on this message regarding your post.

He is really sorry to have caused offence, he was just having 'a laugh' in his own 'bad sense of humour'. He never meant to offend you and would never take the **** out of a fan of boxing, never mind one of his own fans.

    My take on this?

You have to know Lee to get his humour and sometimes from the outside looking in he comes across as a nob. But he's not, he genuinely surprised me when i started working with him as i had seen how he carries off sometimes and thought he was too cocky myself.
But this is so far from the truth, he's actually a really nice kid. Would do absolutely anything for you and really does love the fans.
Sometimes he doesn't think, he comes out with a clever remark or something that strangers will just see as being rude, arrogant or just simply being a twat.
But honestly he is just a fun loving kid that loves havin the crack. He's hardly ever serious and thats sometimes his downfall and why people take him the wrong way.

I forgot to make the following point earlier.
Apparently Gilmour had been trying to get Lee to fight in Aberdeen on April 3rd, but Lee's response was along the lines of "No chance, I'm going to Haye v Ruiz" So it seems this was the best way to get him in the ring
