I sure dont, and i'm a huge Cotto fan. There's just nothing that excites me about this fight. Never mind putting it on ppv. It will fail miserably. The casual fan has never even heard of Yuri Foreman. This fight has no business being held at Yankee Stadium. That venue should be for Major fights only. I hope this fight gets scrapped. I know Cotto deserves a tune up/confidence building fight, but at least put him in with someone noteworthy.

Im a fan of boxing as well, but im also a fan of good compelling competitive matchups. Im not advocating for anyone NOT to watch it now. All im asking is....Is anyone really waiting with anticipation for such a matchup?

It's still quite a ways away. The buzz will start for this fight on ESB, trust me. Too many Cotto lovers and haters for it not to.

I felt the same way when he fought Alfonso Gomez and Michael Jennings. Pointless meaningless matchups.

Your comparing Gomez and Jennings to an undefeated world champ a division above who just beat Daniel Santos?

I think Cotto wins, but good matchup.

I wouldn't say i'm waiting with anticipation, but i'm sure i'll get more excited the closer it gets..Foreman isn't well-known, but he has a belt, has an unbeaten record, and Cotto's moving up to fight him, so it's totally worth it..Altho i'll be more excited by what he does after - hopefully Margarito..

No, Cotto should be fighting Hatton at Wembley or they should have contacted JMM for a catchweight fight, or have him fight Collazo/berto then move right into a rematch with Margo.
