Nah, I want people banned that pollute the boards with crap. Once upon a time ESB used to be a great place to talk boxing, many great posters have left because the boards have become swarmed with flies like you.

Oh yeah, I have been watching Roy Jones before he had a contract with HBO, so the Hbo wool thing does not work for me.

 

How does that prove JOnes had a good chin? That shot had him a bit wobbled on his feet! He may have not went down, but he didn't eat that shot either. Had it landed just a little more flush, he would have been down.

 

Boxing fans are the most fickle in sport :-( The fact that the majority of us keyboard warriors will never step foot in the ring makes me question why I contribute to these threads! Occassionally im dragged in!

 

i'm 33, the fight that got me into boxing was hagler v hearns (hence my avatar), who couldn't love boxing after watching a fight like that.

tbf, i'm not interested in being drawn into a slanging match with petty insults, its only playing into your strengths. i will go in search of a more mature discussion and not pollute the boards with petty squabble-ing.

 

First go shut down that disgraceful Malignaggi thread, put your head between your legs, and kiss your own ass.

That video proved nothing. Tarver landed some decent shots in the first fight but nothing devastasting. The best shot he landed there had Jones wobbled.

Nobody can really say how the weight loss effected his chin because he rarely got hit during his prime. Maybe his chin was always average then again maybe it was solid and the weightloss effected him. That's the thing I hate about Jones, too many unanswered questions because he never reached his full potential by fighting the best.

 

He didn't wobble...! He took the shot and got buzzed by it and he was hit about 6 more times. If that happened now, he would've been KO'd. I believe this is what the thread starter had in mind.

I don't think this is absolute proof to a good chin, you would have to use more than one clip.


But you are right, It does prove than his chin has declined since taking that shot, because now that should would probably put him in coma.:yep

 

people keep blaming RJJ chin for his brutal KO's, please understand that Roy Jones has not legs left in him. Thats his week spot... if not he would still be dominating the sport.
