too right youve been boxing many years and not had a "proper" fight, the guys that go the Olympics and further boxing is their life. There is nothing wrong with boxing as a hobby but dont get unrealistic expectations. If you want to go to the olympics then you have to make boxing your life 24/7.

yeah you can do it. All you have to do is knock out a bunch of 25 year old cuban fighters like foreman did and the gold can be yours. It should even be easier than in foremans day because there are no soviets around anymore.

not really it shows a huge lack of knowledge and disrespect to the sport imo, imagine this guy with no previous contests in a sparring session with some off the gb boxing team for 2012, heck imagine him in with the lightest female boxer going to the games, female on male ****

Well none of us have seen him fight. For all we know he could be the most talented athlete in the world who just needs polishing. If hes not good enough, he wont make it...but nothing wrong with dreaming.

Well it is nieve and a bit ignorant to think you just gone jump in the game like that. Since he didn't know, we told him. In our own way.

He can dream, but realistically it won't happen.

It seems to be a trend in our sport. Its the equivalent of me saying iv played five aside footy (soccer) for 7 years do you think i can get on the england team for the next world cup:lol: That would be ridiculous but for some reason in boxing people think their rocky moment is just round the corner!

On a serious note, fortune favours the brave.

    Calm down though.

If he believes he's good enough then he should go for it.

    +

I'm sure there are a fair few boxers that have never had an amateur bout that would have experienced amateurs eating canvas eg. loads of irish travellers

I didn't mean all experienced amateurs.

    Was supposed to say "some"
