Some fair points each way re Green & Mundine.

On thing people need to accept when Green v Mundine III inevitably takes place, is that the winner has the bragging rights...

...whatever weight is agreed to for II, it's agreed to, and may the better man win!

you were here before the first fight.all articles had Danny saying much better his diet conditioning were under Salas.i prefer Danny continue his career without Mundine
constantly on his mind.he has a CW title, fans that will pack out any venue in Perth and a more exciting style.i realise money is the reason whodoesnt like money but hes fairly rich anyway.hate to see him become another **** puppet in the pioneers **** play.

Another shocking anti-mundine post from cp :hi:

Unlike green who was a career super middleweight prior to their fight in 2006 mundine is not a career cruiser/light heavy weight. With aspirations to fight at 154 and currently campaigning at middleweight "the man" would be foolish to beef up and fight green now unless he plans to cash out of the game. His rugby weight is irrelevant because green did not challenge him to a game of league. Taking a giant leap of faith and assuming you are able to understand that gaining/losing weight properly is paramount for fighters when approaching a fight, your blase assertions that it will be **** easy for mundine to **** about with his weight just to suit green are laughable.

Like it or not mundine is a middleweight and according to many sources including "the man" himself the medley fight was the first one he dieted for properly. And despite saying he would beat green at any weight I doubt mundine would go out of his way to screw himself when negotiating weight for a rematch.

I think the weight argument used against green by stifler's mum and others has more to do with the fact that Danny called mundine a pissant etc then waited until mundine was at his lowest weight and green was seemingly at his strongest position to negotiate from and what he feels is a good weight for him.

Anyway mundine has the bragging rights now and like he says he'll go back when he wants to go back. If green gets done for the handwraps or when mundine is mr 4 time the fight will happen because mundine will hold the cards again.

    :hi:cp haha

Yeah, I know where you're coming from, but at least Green tried to get Hopkins and Tarver, but they fell through, and everyone knows the rematch will happen, there's too much money involved for both of them not to do it.

I guess with Hopkins and Tarver pulling out, it fast-tracked the rematch with Mundine.

In regards to what Green was saying about his weight prior to the Mudnine fight, well, it's a bit like expecting a boxer to say he doesn't think he can win a fight - you never hear boxers saying stuff like "I don't think I can beat him" or "I'm starving myself to make the weight".

I give Green kudos because he has admitted he isn't the most skillful boxer in the world but he tries to make up for that with hard work and heart.

It will be interesting to see what the weight is for the Mundine V Green II

    It wont be at SMW

Best bet would be LHW...for a belt....but is Green going down to get one?

I dont think it will be at CW

Maybe a catch weight between SMW and LHW would be fair....say 78.5kgs

Green could make that weight...he was only 1.5 bigger for the RJJ fight

Just hit the I button once too often mate - but hey stranger things could happen than an eventual bout III.

They've both wanted it since team Mundine seduced Green out of retirement. It just needs a few i's dotted and the t's crossed - neither camp can refuse the money it'll bring.

...and naturally Green's called him out at a time when it suits Green, that's boxing! How many favours did Sugar Ray Leonard do anybody (not the least being Hagler).

No better than Mundine last couple of opponents, the fight is a bit of a joke.
