One shot is not going to take May out. May has been tagged by big punchers throughout his career... of course the punchers haven't landed consecutive shots one after the other. Mosley will have to do more than that to get May out. Some of you guys are overrating his power. Mosley has pop, don't get me wrong, but he couldn't even KO Cotto. Margo has virtually no real defense or good boxing skills. Cotto got hit with some hard right hands, he was buzzed by some, but not rocked or out. Zab had him more hurt. This is not to say that Mosley couldn't KO cotto, just simply saying don't go crazy with this power thing... one shot is not going to do it!

You need to use the Cotto fight for a reference...Cotto was able to outbox and limit Shane's power shots...Given that Floyd is the better boxer in most of areas...I dont think Mosley will be able to tee off on Floyd like he did Margorito...Mosley has shown to have problems with mobile boxers...If several other fighter have found success to negate Mosley's power shots...What makes you think Floyd (one of the best boxers of our generation) wont have success??? Its more of wishful thinking on your part!

Some of Shane Mosley's biggest punches are a left hand from a south paw stance.
he ripped margarito's head off twice with it.

Wonder if he can get it in on floyd.

He will hurt him, and he will cover up until he recovers. Same as what he did against Corley and to a certain extent, Judah, Judah then proceeded to rain punches on Floyds gloves but you could tell Floyd was stunned a bit because he wasnt slipping punches as he usually did, he actually backed up to the ropes and just held his gloves up covering his face. Shows his reflexes was gone by a couple of seconds probably cos he was stunned a bit.

Cotto took Shane's punches very well. Floyd is a better defensive fighter than Cotto therefore Shane will touch him even less than what he did in the Cotto fight. That said, I like Floyd's chances of surviving. Tough fight for Floyd though. I can see him losing. But he should be well prepared both mentally and physically.

funny how that doesnt apply to Roy Jones the fraud...apparently he never got tested and finally someone caught him and he had a glass jaw.

YOU ARE RIGHT - you dont last long with fragile jaw. and he has managed 40 odd fights

Ricky Hatton hits hard, not as hard as Mosley, but still Mayweather took them pretty well.

RJJ had a glass jaw his entire career, Tarver was simply the only guy who was good enough to crack his jaw and stronger than any of the fighters Jones ever faced that Glass jawed joke. He is no ATG. :deal

As for Mayweather he has been caught and hit, but never repeatedly at once. His defense is too good. He's been buzzed, but never hurt to the point of going down.

Man Mosley does have serious power, Cotto didnt get hit flush on the chin other wise he wud have been out. If anything i think that Mosley's power is underrated.

Smile and land another straight right hand on Shane for the 100th time in the fight.

There's a thread like this before every Mayweather fight, even the damn Marquez fight had two or three idiots who started something similar to this. The Hatton fight of course had endless threads about vicious body shots that will exploit Mayweather untouched "glass" body, as pointed out by two or three boxing gurus posting here, who also wipe floors for a living.

Proceed to YouTube if you can't afford downloading and watch more of Mayweather's fights, he has taken shots and taken a lot of them especially early in his career. He had enough fights early in his career with serious toe to toe exchanges. A recent fight where he took punches and took them HARD was the DLH fight, DLH landed quite a lot on him and early in that fight landed a hook that was serious which immediately backed Mayweather up. Even late in that fight DLH landed some serious blows even though he was tired.

Like he took punches in previous fights I'm sure he will be forced to in this one and will handle it pretty well.
