Cotto alone can sell this fight easily especially since is taking place on the time of puertorrican day parade.. plus is an interesting fight, the young champion making his first defense against and boxing star trying to regain his spot among the elites.. if you dont think this is a good fight then you really not a boxing fan and just a fan of boxers :hat
I will be watching this one Ippy....Foreman is quick and throws enough to keep any fighter off balance....It maybe hard for Cotto to get set in his combos Foreman is the bigger man with height and reach advantages and with cotto coming up in weight should make it an interesting fight I think as a PPV it wont break records but it will do well because of Cottos fan base and the fact its for the world title....I will buy this one mate...come round my place and watch it
Miguel Cotto (seals the deal for me, meaning ill be watching) vs an undefeated world champion in a new weightclass This is no cotto vs gomez here, Foreman would slap Gomez around easier then he did santos.... I truly think Cotto has his work cut out for him and im not confident he will carry 154lbs very well given his stature. We will see. If he hasn't snapped it by the 6th and it's still right there applying pressure, broomstick snaps his will and TKO's him late. That's assuming the bristles don't open up cuts over his eye early, forcing a six round technical draw.
agreed! This fight is all wrong for Cotto, It's a big risk, with little to gain, he doesnt need this belt, or foreman on his resume, his resume is complete, he needs to finish his career with a couple more big fights, and get out!
I think that Cotto still has enough respect in the boxing community because of his class as a fighter and his honest willingness to fight just about anyone. I'm sure there are plenty of fans looking forward to it, and I plan to attend. He's too young and talented for his story to end so abruptly and sad. People love to say that he's shot but I think Foreman is a good test for him. He's a good enough fighter that Cotto can prove himself against, but inexperienced enough that if he beats Cotto in a brutal or lopsided fashion, it would tell us that Cotto is likely not meant for 150 or that if he loses after this he should call it quits, unfortunately. But I have faith in him, losing to only a cheater and the number one pound for pound doesn't exactly spell "done for" to me.
i seen the man fight when he was 20-0.every since then i always watched his fights, i may not have always rooted for him but i watched him.its not a huge fight to go crazy over but if you a fan of cotto then its a must watch.im rooting for cotto to never lose again unless he fight mayweather, but other then i want him back on top asap.
Cotto at 154 for a belt and him fighting at Yankee Stadium... Im def. watching this fight and taking a trip down there.:good
