Quality fight the Romero one. Great technical skills from both men but Tapia's a level above. I'll score the Ayala ones and get back to you on that.
I just feel that Mike Tyson did not have the heart to beat the best HW's at their peak. No doubt that he beats the **** out of any fighter who can not get their head around his monster image, but a serious elite HW can deal with him for me.
Peter beat Toney both times. Dempsey is the most overrated fighter of all time. Khosai Galaxy is the second most overrated. Hamed beats Pac at 126. Clottey is the first fighter on record to win a recognized world title while being mentally handicapped.
Mike Tyson doesn't have ONE great win on his resume and is overrated. Amir Khan has the potential to be an ATG (top 100). RJJ's chin was always suspect. It's just he was so damn fast he rolled and slipped shots beautifully. Only when his speed/reflexes slowed his chin got hit cleaner and more often.
That last point isn't contraversial though. When Lou Del Valle knocked him down years ago everyone was wondering if he could take a shot, because like you say he never really did. He's not a technician whatsoever so it's obvious he was just getting by with attributes such as his immense speed and power. When non-technicians lose their attributes it's usually over. Only exception i can think of is Ali, who when he slowed down gained a new attribute, a boxing brain, it's quite outstanding what he did there. Look at De La Hoya, he's somewhat of a technician but not a true highest level one, and when his ultra fast punches in bunches started to decline so did his win rate. Only time will tell if the same will happen to Pacquiao. I'm a fan of his by the way.
IMO naseem hamed would give any fighter in history around his weight class hell, yes that includes barrera, morales AND pac.
Imo the reason Hamed lost is because Barrera executed a gameplan, don't give this counter puncher anything to counter. Everything was jab jab right hand hook. Punching in multiples and don't rush him. It annoys me when people say Hamed was way past his best there, Frazier was way past his best against Foreman, Duran on the night of Montreal, Don Curry before the Honeyghan fight etc etc as if these guys were worlds different from other nights in their career round about the same time. Erik Morales at the end of his career was a man past his prime. Mike Tyson fighting Lennox Lewis was a man past his prime, Joe Louis fighting Walcorr and those after was a man past his prime, there's a difference.
True Teeto, but I consider it controversial based on the reaction the subject gets whenever brought up, some people get so angry about it as if I was pissing over their kids on Christmas morning.
Hahahahaha what a line, that's class. Yeah he's got a lot of loyalist fans, especially on the general forum.
