I'd give Shane, Oscar and Tito a good chance at beating Hearns. But I think if anyone would beat him of the three it's be Oscar based on his sneaky and devastating left hook. Tito had a great lefthook too, but I think Hearns would be skilled enough like Hopkins to neutrelize it.
Wow someone with a Floyd avatar and someone with Sugar Shane avatar agreeing on something.. what has this thread come to??
If I had a time machine I'd gather up prime Ali, Holmes, Foreman, Lewis, Frazier, Louis, and Marciano and stage a tournament:happy
well i mean anybody with that much size has a CHANCE to beat them but that dn't make them an top 5 ATG not trying to bash you just my opinion. sonny liston is a lot better than people give him credit for.
i'd add ken norton, prime mike, klit brothers and see who wins lol. imagine that. maybe even throw a sonny liston in there.
That just it.. its so hard to compare eras.. What could a guy with as much heart and no quit like Marciano do against Ali.. It would be incredible to watch..
Barber: "You musta be outa ya goddamn mind!! Joe Louis is the greatest boxer who evah lived, he waz better th'n Cassius Clay, better th'n Sugar Ray, he waz better th'n... who's that new guy... oh yeah Mike Tyson!! He would batter him too. He would whoop Mike Tyson's ass, he would whoop all their asses!!" Customer: "What 'bout Rocky Marciano?" Barber: "Oh there they go, there they go!! Every time I started talk'ng 'bout boxin' a white man gotta pull Rocky Marciana outta th' ass!! That's the one, that's the one, Rocky Marciana, Rocky Marciano!! Let me tell ya somethin'!! Rocky Marciana waz good but compare him to Joe Louis, Rocky Marciana ain't ****!!"
No argument there.........the defeat against Rahman was a stain put down to lack of training and taking atking it for granted.
