I'm inclined to go with this as his finest performance : [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lxv4SUN5QEs[/ame]
If your just talking about a performance without taking much consideration into who the opponent is then I have to say the Rahman rematch.
to throw a different one out there i like the morrison fight: patient, methodical, technically skilled and able to execute a finish when the time came. for me it exemplifies all the best traits of lewis
I think the Morrison fight illustrated Lewis at his absolute peak, a combination of the puncher from his earlier days and the patient boxer of his later career. That said, best performance, probably Rahman II, in light of the circumstances surrounding the fight and the question marks that were raised of him prior to the contest. Other than that, Golota was pretty impressive.
I can't deny that this was a great and masterful performance by Lewis. He was virtually flawless in every aspect. The only reason I don't rate the performance a little higher was because of the calibur of his opponent, but that still doesn't take away from the fact that he looked spectacular.
Yeah, Morrison was kinda made for him. Lewis wasn't vulnerable to left hooks because of his upright stance and tendency to fight at range. If he had produced the same identical performance against a right hand puncher with a decent beard it would be clearly #1. [Jorodz.... what's wrong with Strach?]
totally agree. morrison was not at his best and fought way too passive. but i think lewis reached his peak there and that patient, disciplined version is a monster h2 h
good analysis:good haha, just bitter that he left us last season and now we're getting ****ing destroyed by rangers
that was very intelligent by Lewis. He knew Ruddock was gonna go for the jab to the body after the first one landed and the 2nd one made Lewis uneasy. And he knew exactly what he was gonna do after Ruddock went for it.
