Tsunami warning was just issued on our news channels...

    **** it just hit!!! I'm sitting in my room in 2 feet of water. I live one block back from Manly Beach.

    RUN FOR THE ****EN HILLS!!!!

    Got the deck chairs out, set my table up & waited for the beach to come to me.

    All it did was ****en rain, & even that was a fizzer.

    Lucky I never jumped the gun with the liquid refreshments.

    I'll have a Tsunami wake tonight instead. :D

    Classic Irish logic here.
    My sister lives in the lower central area of waterfront queensland. She tells me that cars were lined up along the waterfront from about 7.30 to wait for the wave. Guess they wanted to give the kiddies a look.
    There is only 2 ways out of there, North & south & they run along the beach front.
    Elevation there was about 3 metres (It's not a surfing beach)
    Had there been inundation, it would have been horrendous, particularly for so many kiddies.
    Absolute empty heads.:nut
