with no take down defence/ground game hes ****ed... he wont be able to use his boxing stance because he will get taken down waaay to easy against anyone with a ground game...he will have to fight people much more square on, some of his striking ability will be taken away form him

i would like to see him do well, but mma is a lot more evolved than some people give it crddit for, and he will just be taken to the ground & either pounded out or submitted

 

im pretty sure hes not going to fight in MMA without groundfighting training. but with his boxing abilities..he can do well in a standing fight.. im excited to see this fight.

 

He has 3 months to train if he hasn't already been training.

Take away some of his striking? Yeah, he'll probably only punch 3 or 4 times as hard as most MMA guys...

You are right, if it gets to the ground he's most likely dead. Should be interesting while it lasts.

 

I dont know much about Mayorga opponent,but if hes decent he should beat Mayorga easily. MMA is still male porn IMO anyway.

Mayorga's first opponent is Din Thomas a real legit MMA guy. He hung in there and beat a few of the Top UFC fighters. He caught some lucky shots in a few fights and got let go by the UFC. They're putting Mayorga in with a top guy the first time out. Din Thomas called out Floyd Mayweather too and said he'd do the fight for free just to shut Floyd up.

 

i hope mayorga's been training properly (highly unlikely), because din thomas is no joke and is a hell of a fighter to take on as your first mma fight. mayorga's insane.

Din Thomas is gonna kick his ass, but if Mayorga can stand up Thomas is going to get completely raped.

 

i am really interested to see how a boxer with a great chin holds up taking shots from a heavy handed mma fighter without boxing gloves on. if he somehow gets KO'd by a punch the whole glass-chinned mma fighter theory kind of goes out the window.

Now I don't really know or care too much for MMA, but isn't Din Thomas abit too experienced and skilled to be taken on as your first opponent ever in MMA? Now I love Mayorga and I really hope he goes on to smash up at least a couple of these MMA guys, but against a Din Thomas, dude's gonna get ****ed when he's taken to the ground.

Let's just hope Mayorga's taken this seriously, and has been working on his ground game

 

Mayorga said recently in an interview that his style is more suited to MMA. That his whole life he's always had street fights and it's no different once he's inside the cage. Ricardoe is going to smash this MMA bum.

 

Mayorga was one of the last I'd expect to come out of the closet like this., It's sad.
