Fair enough mate.....I just think Glovkin is a little wild in his combos and lacks speed

I don't think Mundine has the footwork anymore to sustain that sort of a gameplan against a guy of Golovkins calibre for twelve rounds.. It'd be a good fight though and a massive step up in opposition for Mundine, hope it happens.

Do you see this fight as a step up for Glovkin?

I mean besides the AM's who has he beaten in the pros?

Geale is a decent European standard fighter imo at " REAL" world class level both he and Mundine will be found seriously wanting .

Here we go again...."World Class"...what does that mean?

Breaking it down to each division I would think world class means the following....

    1. Being ranked top 10 of 1000 pros (RING rating)
    2. Being able to compete with the champ who has 1 of the 4 belts
    3. Having fought and been competitive with a world champ

Now in Mundines case hes done this...so how is he not considered "World Class" :huh

You cant tell me that Mundine could not be competitive against Sturm and Sylvester?.....he also has a 50% or better chance of beating Sylvester

So are you saying that World Class is the 4 belt holders and thats it out of 1000 pros at MW?

Past Ash , In The past Mundine WAS world class but he has been fighting sub standard opponents for so long now he has slipped out of world class standard IMO but never mind you will see it with your own eyes should he ever quit fighting cabbies and relative novices . pretty soon the reality will strike you Ash . Hey Ash ask yourself this question mate , WHAT world class opponent has Mundine faced in the last three years ?

Rules 2 and 3 are the same thing Ash

Anyway, I don't agree with your criteria simply because you get divisions that are weaker and stronger than others.

You can't just limit world class to being top 10 and being competitive. Almost everyone Ottke fought was competitive against him. It was his style to do just a bit more than his opponent.

Some countries have far more depth in the divisions than others too thus making it more difficult to jump up the ranks.

Mundine made it to the top 15 in the WBA simply by beating Soliman (who was a domestic name only back then).

By the time he fought Echols he was number 2 in the WBA, and was probably in the top 10 of the division and he hadn't beaten anyone. The best name he had on his resume was Ricky Thornberry.

No way in hell does that make someone world class. Being world class is all relative and has to do with individual match ups, and skills, etc.

Firstly I agree Mundine needs to fight better fighters......yes his last 5 or 6 fights were very avarage save Geale and Medley

Secondly In my happy World, Mundine is rated in the top 10......so until he gets beaten hes still in the RING top 10 :yep

And if their wasnt so much hate on Mundine here quite a few guys on this forum with a bit of industry background could backup the fact that Mundine did try a few times to get a fight with Pavlik...even going to the states

To me World Class is having the perception based on past and present that you could compete or win a title at 160....considering hes not lost in 5 years that past record is relevant today.

    Mundine would shake Sylvester...fact...even fight.
