Show me where Im hating on Floyd? Im a Pac fan, not a Floyd hater. If someone posts a vid or quotes PBF chatting BS, Im gonna call him out on it. I dont go into a random mayweather thread and try spin things negatively about him.

Whats your point? This isnt a basketball game, its boxing, and boxing generally doesnt draw more than 40k in the US unless its a HUGE fight. Arum & Jones being realistic with the expected attendance for this fight reconfigures the seating structure of the stadium to accomodate for 45k.

A nightclub may hold 2k, but if they only want to sell 1k tickets, if those 1k tickets sell, its sold out.

Im a big fan of Pac, whats your point? Your from England, how is this any different from a die hard Arsenal/Man U fan rooting for their team?

Show me these swipes. I have said many positive things about PBF when their valid, negative things ive said are valid, I've made jokes about PBF which comes off as jokes. I have never tried to seriously spin things negatively for PBF.

These guys, iehudson, jacory, chibuku, nallege can go into a completely valid Pac appreciation thread and somehow spin things to make it negative. I mean how the **** do you turn a near 45k sellout into something negative?

Bob Arum is tricky when it comes to ticket sales... A Group of Business Men in LA took over promoting the closed circuit De La Hoya vs Chavez Match at Olympic Auditorium and annnounced it was sold out while no actual tickets were sold to consumers so you have to take it with a grain of Salt...

Will they reach 45K? probably not without a drop in ticket prices. A big part of that card was Antonio Margarito and since he isn't coming back I don't see them selling it out.

Well truth is only a ******* would see this as hating. My point is simple if you have a venue that holds 100,000 people but can be adjusted then you can say its a sellout with the number of tickets that you sell. So for those that dont understand Ill break it down.

If you start out saying that your looking for 100,000 people which they did, then start to make sections unavailable reducing the size from 100k to 50k because you have only sold 40k. The thing is if 48k wanted to buy tickets they would sell 48k which would mean that 45k wasnt a sellout.

On the flipside its hard to sell 25k if the venue only holds 15k. Selling 45k isnt that impressive when the tickets are really cheap, and $50us is cheap for an elite fighter. Not to mention that the Dallas/Ft worth area is large and really void of major boxing, 45k is great but with cheap tickets in a fight hunger area its not what *******s are trying to make it out to be. Keep in mind that Chavez vs haugen did well over 100,000 in the 1980's. Boxing isnt usually held in large areas in fact its rarely held in large areas so its hard to go over broad on 45k, since they started off saying they would get the 100k:good

When the fight was announced, the target number was 40k seats. I am unsure why you would argue this. Second, the method they have done, rearranging the sits to fit smaller amount of buyers is not unusual. It is standard practice from music concerts, political events, exhibitions, etc. I attended a U2 concert in Giants Stadium. It was sold out yet you can clearly see that they could have fitted another 10 seats on the floor.

It is not like they said they want 50k then reduced the tickets then increased the price.

Chavez in the 80s is nice but that was 1980s. Boxing was on free TV, major networks, then too. The reality, there are 30k+ people willing to go and spend at least $50 to watch a boxing match between 2 non American fighters.

That is good for boxing. No different if PBF and Mosley sells out.

BTW - 100K number was for PBF vs Pac. Not Cottey vs Pac.

I disagree, it was more impressive in the 1980's because this is the information age. Boxing fans know today more about boxers around the world then ever before. In the 1980's if you wanted to watch a fighter from overseas you were **** out of luck. Non American is not an issue today, Pac is a great fighter and a well known fighter, one of the three or four most popular fighters period. But you *******s can keep banging that drum, it seems that you cats play both sides depending on how it suits your point AT THAT MOMENT.

My point is the stadium isnt sold out and they are being deceptive. Making up some arbitary number of tickets to sell doesnt mean the place is sold out.

That's a bit different though. This really isn't an "All-Star" type fight, and plus a lot of people that went to that basketball game probably just went for the experience.

BOT, this is great 45K is much more than what I thought it would do.
