For those that haven't seen it, the legendary Jim Driscoll in his final fight.

That guy Rare Boxing uploads some amazing stuff. Not sure how rare this is, but I'd never seen it before and I know there are quite a few on here that hold Driscoll in high regard. Not him at his best, post WW1 and all that, but fascinating nonetheless.

This will end up being Jess Willard versus Mike McKimminsky.

It's got the title page at the beginning of the vid. Got stopped in the 16th round as per Boxrec. Looks legit:good

Driscoll looks knackered in that, he couldnt hold Le Doux off at all, no snap in his shots at all and his legs were stiff.

Le Doux looked pretty handy though, especially on the inside.

As I say, you only see flashes of what Driscoll was capable of as seen in the other clip on youtube. It's his final fight.

But I felt it would want to be seen nonetheless:good

    Thanks for it.

Driscoll was past his prime in the Robson fights as it was. He was even further past it, although not long before he gave Freddie Walsh hell.

He does **** up the titles sometimes though.

    Case in point:

Labelled 'Ingemar Johanson vs Joe Bygraves, 1962'

The great Jim Driscoll was thirty nine years old in this fight with Charles Ledoux...Driscoll who was stopped in the 16th round, retired after this fight...
