I`ve got the fight, haven`t watched it in ages but I do believe Oguma got decked at some point, and I do remember Alfonso looking sharp throughout. I`ll send it your way for what we discussed and you can upload it for all to see if you wish. And Flea I am sending you the 3rd Oguma/Gonzalez and Park fights, also a young Chang vs Amado Ursua minus rds 2-9.

I have seen the 1st fight with Park and the 2nd and 3rd with Gonzalez

First the Park fight. Thought Oguma systematically broke Park down and then knocked him out. Brilliant display.

Gonzalez II: Oguma was superb really boxed well, although Gonzalez was in plodding mode.

Gonzalez III: Brilliant back and forth fight with Gonzalez landing some brillaint counters and Oguma displaying good boxing, had it to Gonzalez by 1.

    Hello stranger.

You have seen the fights though right s_s? Correct me if I`m wrong but I recall you saying a long time ago you had Gonzalez taking their second fight and the 3rd going to Oguma comfortably which I agree with, although I had him winning the second fight as well albeit by a closer margin than the 3rd.

I`ll never forget at the end of the fight when the decision was announced as a draw how a member of Oguma`s camp ran up behind referee Marty Denkin and dropkicked him in the ass, never seen anything like that before or since, the look on the refs face was priceless:lol:.

I think Denkin had the only vote in that fight, not 100% sure but either way that draw ruling was absurd, Oguma won that fight clearly imo. He boxed effectively off the backfoot and was the better ring general controlling the pace and range very well for most of the fight.

    Anyone else seen this fight?

The second one I had close 1 point to Gonzalez. Got them mixed up in my earlier post.

The third was definitly an Oguma win I had it about 12-3 to Oguma, absoloute amazing performance. AlthoughGonzalez was quite passive. And it was 3 judges voting.

Indeed RB you remember correctly, I had Gonzalez edging the second fight by a point but the third fight was an out and out robbery. Oguma won it for sure. No doubt that fight was fixed.

    My cards for the fights:

Shoji Oguma vs. Betulio Gonzalez II: 144-143 Gonzalez
    Oguma: 3,4,5,9,11 and 15.
    Gonzalez: 1,7,8,10,12,13 and 14.
    Rounds 2 and 6 even

Shoji Oguma vs. Betulio Gonzalez III: 146-141 Oguma
    Gonzalez: 5,8,11 and 15.
    Oguma: 1,2,3,4,6,7,9,10,13 and 14.
    Round 12 even.

G, I think what you take to be Gonzalez-Oguma II is actually their third fight, and what you take to be their third fight is actually their second. Assuming that's the case, I agree with your takes on the fights.

I mix them up all the time because who I got the fights from had them marked wrongly.
