What is the difference? I know the EU title is the european union title but what makes it different to the european title? example EU lightweight champ - Andrew Murray EBU European champ - Mezzache im confused... from what i know the EU title is less regarded. or am i confused and they are the same thing???
E.U title can only be fought for by fighters from the E.U (European Union) and is just a stepping stone towards the full EBU title whereas the EBU title is the full european title and can be fought for by people from the E.U and people from outside the E.U in europe of course ther is also an ebu-ee belt which is the external european union belt which can be foght for by fighters in europe and but outside the E.U and this is also a lightly regarded belt that is just a stepping stone to the full EBU title
It's sort of like the English title and the British title. One's a minor title that puts you in a position to fight for the major belt.
i actually think the EBA is the best of the european titles, along wiht the new WBO European title aswell
Others have pretty much covered it-imagine it as a mini-pyramid. European title European Union title External EU title Technically the European belt is the EBU one, but it can get confusing, particularly on here with the EBU, EU, and EEU belts and people get the muddled. Much easier to go European, EU and External EU titles.
Don't start Andrew Murray no longer holds the EU Lightweight title btw, that honour belongs to Hoang San Nguyen of Spain(originally Vietnam).
