I think that Mayweather's performances against Jesus Chavez and Phillip N'Dou was the best I have ever seen by any boxer. His masterful dissection of Chavez relentless assault and his fighting in the pocket with N'Dou was a beauty to behold.
Genaro Hernandez by far. Chicanito had 10 x the boxing skill and was a much more dangerous fight than corralles.
So many to choose from........I'd say this was his best performance. That's ****ing oscar worthy. This content is protected
I'll have to say Hatton, simply because Floyd fought and beat Hatton fighting Hattons fight. When Ricky was using his trademark British rough-house tactics, Floyd didn't complain, he let the ref do his thing and stayed focused. The way Floyd started setting up Hatton was classic, wait for the Brit to rush in and checked hooked him right into the post. What a nice knockdown.
Corrales by far.... Two p4p undefeated fighters. Corrales was thought to be a killer at 130, Floyd showed what he was about, I liked the Manfreddy fight too. 130 Floyd was a great fighter, great for the sport, and great for the fans... :good:good No way Gatti is Floyds best performance, that was a showcase fight for Floyd. That's like saying Gomez is Cotto's best performance. A great performance for a great fighter needs to come from an elite fighter.
You obviously weren't around to know what was going on around the time of the fight... Go ask your daddy:good
For me it would be Ndou. Ndou was not in the same class as corrales or hatton but he came to fight and had a very good offense and made Floyd weather the storm multiple times. But Floyd fought brilliantly and showed all the weapons in his skillset. It was a beautiful performance from a boxing fans point of view, not just as a floyd fan.
He put on a brilliant display vs. Corrales. He was basically perfect in that fight, and Chico would have just kept taking the beating if his pops didn't step in.
Definitely Corrales. I only watched that fight again yesterday. Floyd was absolutely flawless in that fight. Speed, accuracy, footwork was simply a joy to watch. He broke Corrales' spirit, nobody had ever done that to him before. It was bittersweet watching the fight, knowing that for the next 9 years he would take big money/low risk fights at the cost of his legacy.
