    Great post. :good:happy:good

Lewis is the most overrated heavyweight in the history of the sport, whose image has been grossly inflated due to his good luck at being able to fight Tyson and Holyfield when they were both well past their best.

How ******ed would someone have to be to say that Holyfield was in his prime when he fought Lewis? :-(

While Tyson was a shadow of himself, Holyfield was still helluva fighter. Past prime doesn't mean SHOT. Competition at HW in the 90's was the best ever and Lewis beat almost everyone who was out there and mostly in dominant fashion.

when regarding top ten lists, then i base my'n on achievements, that's where lewis ranks high on, so he could be about six or seven on my list, but that's where tyson ranks lower. don't get me wrong, tyson was a great boxer, one of my favourites back then. he had an exiting style and he had an aura about him, but he didn't achieve nowhere near to what he should of done. after 1990, that was it for him really. a very short lived prime.

In my opinion Lewis is top5 when you consider only achievements. When you consider H2H, he is top3.

Maybe you should actually watch 'whole fights' then form a worthwhile opinion.

I know your dellusional. Lewis is a Top 10 heavyweight ATG and most probably a Top 5 when you look at head to head. The only guys in their prime I see beating Lewis is; Ali, Foreman, Tyson, Louis and maybe Holmes.

Frazier, Patterson, Norton, Marciano, Dempsey and Johnson are also questionable.

Its infuriating to see how biased some people are, without even being aware of it. When American posters are constantly slating Lewis, the Klitschkos and even Haye- why can't they see a pattern emerging? I'll admit I'm baised in favour of all the above, but I try to compensate for that. Its beyond a joke that people have Lewis outside of the top 30, what do they know about him (and boxing) that all the experts don't?

The most overrated fighter on ESB. People here ranking him ahead of Joe Louis, what the ****? Holyfield or Tyson in their primes would have wiped their arses with Lewis. And Rahman and McCall were never even B-class fighters, more like C-class.

Personally i put that most overrated mantle on Tyson... the Guy's knock out reel is the most impressive one you will see anywhere but i feel that highlight reel is where he is judged and why he is thought of so highly. In my opinion a prime Lennox Lewis outboxes Tyson 8 times out of 10... Tyson while quick and powerful in his prime was wild, wreckless and not the most accurate and a gifted boxer with the physical attributes and mental toughness of a Lennox Lewis would have kept him at range for most of the night on the end of a glove and smothered him in close. Tyson was great to watch but his resume lacks a lot to be classed as an all time great and the fact that many believe his peak only lasted 4 years and after that peak he was a shell of a fighter also works against him. It's also well documented thast Lewis was sent away from sparring with Tyson when Tyson was a young pro and Lewis was an amateur because after the 2nd round of sparring Lewis beat the crap out of Tyson...
Tyson is overrated because he was exciting... Lewis is underrated because he wasn't.
For me ATG i have Lewis top 3 and H2H top 3 (i think Prime Tyson and Prime Ali had the tools to beat him but i would fancy Lennox to beat Tyson but i can't see him coping with the speed of a prime Ali)

Lennox is my fav heavyweight champon of all time as he was the one that got me intrested in the sport (Lewis vs Holyfield 1) well the best champion of my era , i think he deserves to be mentioned with the all time greats and is one of a few to retire champ and not come back , maybe he lacked chrisma of past champions but made up for it with he's dominance and abilty.

definetely not in my ATG top 10

boring and ... bowe KO'd holyfield twice and he couldnt, in fact holyfield looks better in rematch. 2 KO lost, ok he avenged rahman lost in similar fashion to his lost but mccall rematch wasnt a good one, he looks afraid and hesitant, although mccall didnt fight back he couldnt hurt him... against mercer, it was basically a draw as you can see on both boxers face during the decision.

The only legendary fighter in his prime that he beat was holyfield and the result wasn't even that great.

and finally the fight against klitchko... well...
