what you dont understand greg is that was badru's first fight outside his homeland and he seemed very nervous, nether the less he posseses huge power,to say awful is wrong and clearly shows your lack of boxing knowledge maybe you should give it a try yourself

Good fight. Even if the guy is a bit rubbish Yassine is in a new phase of his career and this guy has power. Yassine needs to remember that defence.

I want Yassine, like all boxers to go for that Southern Area title to get himself in line for an English shot and then British and Commonwealth.

To be fair I think he was only saying he was awful in that 1 fight.

Totally agree that some people need to be far more respectful to boxers.

Can't stand it when journeymen get called bums etc.

i will admit what i said may seem rather bad, but that fight is all I have to go on. I think the reason it sticks with me so much is the amount of hype the guy got in the local press and really didn't live up to it.
I understand the need for respect to boxers, but if someone thinks a performance is poor or in this case, as I said , awful, they should be allowed to say so. I would never call a journeyman a bum as I know how important they are and can even remember cheering more for Peter Buckley than his opponent one time.

I was defending you mate I didn't think you were being disrespectful. If you thought a performance was awful thats different to saying the guy is an awful boxer.

    The professor was good.

My personal favourite though would be Tony Booth. What a character.
I remember watching the doc on Setanta. The ref got fed up of his antics and comes over to the corner and says, 'you do know this ain't a ****ing pantomime!' Boothy looks up at him and goes 'OH YES IT IS!!!!!'

    Brilliant.

I just figured your post was the best to quote being the most recent and with me feeding off it slightly.

Firstly: Yassine cannot fight for the Southern Area title as everyone is refusing to fight him. He is mandatory now but NO-ONE will take the fight. Secondly he does not qualify for a British or Commonwealth title shot.

My job is to promote him and it is strange that people want to insult him but very very few express an interest in fighting him!

Has Pryce now refused the fight? I seen on the Boxrec forum that you offered him a 10 round fight with El Maachi. More than fair IMO.

Judging by this thread I must be one of the few who likes watching El Maachi. He seems pretty gifted to me. I'm looking foward to seeing his next fight.
