"A nation turns its lonely eyes to you"

The U.S. needs another Joe Hipp heavyweight simply for the entertainment value of his blood and guts bouts.

Wow, what a hell of a fight he had with Tommy Morrison. I like the Alex Garcia fight too. I wish he would have beaten Bruce Seldon back then for the WBA title. A blood and guts fighter.

Had he beaten Seldon his next fight would have been Tyson. With his no fear style and uppercut abilities Hipp would have offered an entertaining battle.

His house burned down around 5 years ago and he had no isnurance..Last I heard he was still in Eastern Washington. I know someone who doesn't BS that saw him pick a fight in some dive bar in Yakima and Hipp got 1 punch KO'd.

Either way, that was a hell of a fight with Morrison.

I can't imagine anyone 1 punch kayoing Hipp in any type of fight. In this case your friend pulled a BS.

I can't verify it 100%, but back about 10 years ago there was alot of talk of Hipp going to these dive bars and picking fights. 'm sure it's possible someone dropped him with 1 punch without gloves. If it were someone I think would make it up I wouldn't have posted it.

:think I am actually having trouble believing this one as well. Maybe if Hipp had a few too many and somebody took advantage of that fact and caught him with a good shot, but otherwise, I just can't see it happening. I will ask him when I meet him though.
