Lewis-Tyson sold a little less than Tyson-Holyfield 2 but generated more money because they charged more. So it is #2 in money generated on PPV, just not in terms of orders.
The majority of these fights weren't very good. Mayweather vs. De La Hoya: Not enough action, a letdown after the hype. Holyfield vs. Tyson 2: Bite-fight. Lewis vs. Tyson: After round 1, a one-sided ass kicking. Tyson vs. McNeely: Lasted a minute and a half. And McNeeley's corner stopped it, so we didn't get to see a nice KO. Trinidad vs. De La Hoya: Disappointing fight, controversial decision. Tyson vs. Bruno 2- One sided ass-kicking. Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya: Another one-sided ass kicking. Holyfield vs. Lewis 1: Average fight in terms of action, disgraceful decision.

yup, which just goes to show most of the 'must see' fights in boxing dont get the coverage they deserve, IMO
damn, im seeing too many different takes on numbers.... one site says 2.1 for hoya may and one 2.4, how can this be open for error? it was eather 2.1, or 2.4 no?
I remember the early estimates for Mayweather-De La Hoya were 2.1-2.2 but they revised the number later and said it was 2.4. They did the same for De La Hoya-Mayorga. I guess the original totals were incomplete.
hell, yeah, tyson, after ali, was and still is the most popular fighter in history. he might even be equal with ali.
