Man talk about consistency from DLH (according to an article punched up a while back about HBO boxing, a fight breaks even at about 330K buys assuming promotion is standard and not extravagant) and Tyson is remarkable. The fact that Tyson vs McNeely was THAT big shows the allure that Mike possessed.

impressive how Tyson could sell a PPV even he is the only draw in the fight. does anyone have a list of all Tyson PPV buys?

I read in late 2008-early 2009 on one of these boxing websites around here. I've been trying to dig it up for a while now but so far nothing. It went into detail about how Pavlik-Hopkins and RJJ-Calzaghe basically butchered their PPV budget because both of them bombed at an epic rate. It also detailed how expensive 24/7 really is which was surprising to me.

I wish I would've saved the ****ing thing.

I know MMA PPVs need about 350K to break even normally although depending on who's on the card, it could be more or less (obviously a card main evented by a GSP or BJ Penn or Brock Lesnar needs more).

    Nope.

That is called HYPE blinding Reality.

But those are still very good numbers by DLH. He consistently did over 500,000 and up to Pac vs DLH and Cotto he hadn't done that.
