no. Manny outclassed Oscar and Ray fought Duran's fight and Duran barely won. When Ray decided to fight his fight he won easily and then again in the rematch proving he was the better fighter. Oscar will never prove he is better than Manny.

Well in a way its a little similar. And I mean a little.

    -Two fast fighters- Pacquiao, Leonard
-Relentless punching from both as well

-Two weight drained Latinos- Duran, DLH
-Both fights ended with No Mas at Round 8.

    No.

A more fitting comparison to Duran-Leonard 1 would be Mosley-De La Hoya 1.

The golden boys, Leonard and De La Hoya, had titles at WW. Duran and Mosley had been lightweight champions, and had less experience at WW.

Leonard should've used more movement against Duran, although I give much credit to Duran for his ability to cut off the ring. Likewise, De La Hoya should've boxed in a more defensive manner against Mosley, but he kept coming forward and getting into the exchanges, where Mosley excels.

That's the only thing there was in common, nothing else.
