I just read this in a German newspaper:

BILD reported that the deal was dead according to Klitschko manager Bernd Bönte, however Sauerland is pushing Valuev to sign the contract.
Don King is negotiating the deal between Vitali and Valuev, but even when K2 raised the offer for Valuev from 1 million USD at the beginning to 2,5 million USD now, DK and Valuev still refuse to sign.
Kalle Sauerland made a statement now that Valuev should sign this good offer, Sauerland managing director Chris Meyer: "Valuev has never earned that much before, and he is given a new direct chance for a world championship belt, he should now sign otherwise people will think he is ducking."
Vitali: I want to be the first to send Valuev to the canvas. I believe he doesn't dare to fight me, he is demanding 4 million USD through DK; he knows this is impossible to be realized.
Meanwhile Klitschko is already in negotiation with other boxers but the Schalke Arena is still not cancelled so it seems K2 is still leaving the door open for this big fight.

King and Valuev are idiots if they don't sign. Cash out while you can: Valuev is shot and was never much good to begin with.

"I want to send Valuev to the canvas" - very intelligent negotiating point, Vitya! Now you scared the big baby away!

Anyway, I thought the Valuev-King deal ended when the Don signed David as his puppet. Haye got the extremely tight decision in Germany, pretty much how Valuev got his vs. another old Don King fighter in Larry Donald - guess what, after Niko signed with King!

It seems the Sauerlands are pushing hard for the fight and seriously, I think Valuev wants it too, there were some reports in the past of Vitali personally speaking with Niko. It's "just" King, but the way things look like, the old man will "just" kill the deal.

12 round hug fest anyone. Vitali is fading and looked heavy and slow at times against Arreola.
Valuev wont have to chase Vitali like he did with Haye so he might actually land something on Vitali and his length might cause VK some problems

    dire fight tho

Why didn't Vitali offer Haye 2.5 mil? Because he knows what the Hayemaker will do to him thats why!

You can see that despite all the smokescreen Vitali's people are blowing, Valuev is the fight they really want. Vitali is focused in clearing the path to get Haye next.

IMO Vitali will up his offer to 3 million, maybe a lil more and the fight will be donne, they are pretty close. DKP will come to his senses that 3 million is at least twice the value they can get in any other fight out there, not including Wlad. This is a 10 million fight in Germany, probably more, half a million will not make much diference for Vitali.

If Vitali gave Valuev a real beating in there and then signed to fight Haye it would make the fight a lot bigger than it was before. It would be a lot easier to sell for the TV companies and promoters

He never ran, injury forced him out the first time, and he realised the **** deal he was being offered the second time.

What? Vitali showed really nice footwork and movement for a 6'8 guy against Arreola and threw 80 punches per round. He looked bad against KJ, he just doesn't have the style to impress against a defensive fighter. Valuev will have nothing to keep Vitali off him.

Didn't Vitali throw 1000 punches in the KJ fight? how can people say he is old, slow, on the slide and ****?

He beat the crap out of Peter, Gomez, Arreola and KJ in 14 months time. That is freaking impressive for a HW these days.

your from utah? and your slinging?? wind your neck in chump
Vitali has been a great fighter. But against Arreola who was massily overweight and slow he looked heavy that muscle is starting to slide look at the footage of the Lewis fight hes still got it dont get me wrong but there is only so long a guy of his size and weight can go on and against a guy who will hug and hold if he needs to it could turn into an ugly fight. Vitali hasnt fought anyone tallers than him and Valuevs reach could cause problems Vitali wont be able to throw that undercut right hand against valuv cause it wont reach his chin! I think VK will win i just dont think it will be a great fight and i think hes no longer in his prime - but no one has yet been able to find an answer to his style
