To the defense of Lewis, McCall was on drugs when knocking Lennox, which made him a monster puncher in that fight. When he got parked from Rahman, it was when he was already exhausted from undertraining and the altitude in South Africa. Still, Purrity did same as Rahman with Lennox, he stayed in the fight getting hammered from pillar to post for 10 rounds until Wlad was extremely gassed, and staggering like Erdei in the last rounds does. It took just workman punches to get Wlad down, who couldn't fight back anymore. Sanders landed flush hammers time and again, but Wlad got up again and again although he was once out for two seconds with his head rolling over the canvas. Someone with a bad chin stays down, see Rahman, Maccarinelli, Hatton, etc. Overall, Lennox has a 30% better chin than Wlad and a lot more strength supporting his head, both are on a scale of 1 to 10 at say 5 and 7. However, Wlad has very good recuperation, Lennox doesn't. BTW, you have to be a stupid ******* to not see that Wlad was ill or drugged vs. Brewster, which actually robbed Brewster of the chance to win that fight a round or two later with no controversy.
Damned fair post sir ! although , if I may, it seems a little far fetched that Wlad was drugged. It seems more likely to me that Wald , being desperate for redemption, probably went into the fight nervous and because of that burned up too much energy, it wouldn't be the first time that happened.
Rahman and McCall won a title fights other than against Lewis! Wait..no they didn't. Sanders and Brewster are every bit as good as McCall and Rahman, Purrity is a notch below but not that far. McCall lost to Mike Hunter and Orlin Norris, surely he could lose to Purrity as well. Not much between em.
I don't think Wlad was drugged either but he had some serious blood sugar levels and any idiot could see that Wladimir wasn't his normal self.
I'd agree with that , seems far more like it was some kind of internal physiological problem I'm convinced he was just up tight , if memory serves it was his first fight after Sanders (with the exception of Fabio Moli which doesn't really count !)
Aside that Lewis wasn't chinny, this post is right on the button. Lewis beat the count against McCall though.
hmmm, i don't know. it's certainly off and more than a little excusive (if that's a word...) but i've read far worse
You are truly a ****ing idiot :deal A. This post isn't even that bad, you are reaching and grasping at straws here. What used to be hilarious is now ******ed. B. What fighters do you like? Nobody knows because you used to post 'anti-Klitschko' exclusively, but now post 'anti-Klitschko Fan' exclusively And for the record, The Sanders and Brewster fights (never saw the Purrity) shows 1 thing.....Wlad has a heart of a lion abnd is a true fighter to keep getting up :deal
And dip****, it is an opinion and I'm sure it's an opinion that is shared by many. Taking clean shots from Sanders and still getting back to your feet MAY be an indication that your chin is a little sturdier then taking a clean shot from Rahman and getting sent to LaLa Land. Whatever, who gives a ****.
he was for 4 rounds or so. it was a pretty drastic drop in energy but as has been stated, probably had more to do with his mental state than anything
And nobody on here knows **** all about whether Wlad was drugged or not. So don't act like it is some CRAZY idea to think he might have been. Crazy absurd **** has happened in boxing...liston blinding ali, loaded wraps, removed padding, PED use, etc
